Month One Weigh-In and Measurements
Here I am to post my 1st month’s numbers from Curves. No pictures because, basically, even though I’ve lost almost 15 pounds, I still look the same. *laughs* That’s to be expected. So maybe next month I’ll post some 2 month pictures or something. We’ll see.
Okay so here are the stats:
4/26/2010
Weight – 271 (284.75 last month) = 13.75 pounds lost
Bust – 41 inches (41.75 last month) = .75 inches lost
Waist – 43.75 inches (46 inches last month) = 2.25 inches lost
Abdomen – 55.5 inches (58.75 last month) = 3.25 inches lost
Hips – 58 inches (58.25 last month) = .25 inches lost
Thigh – 31.25 inches (32.75 last month) = 1.5 inches lost
Arm – 15.5 inches (15.75 last month) = .25 inches lost
Body Fat Percentage – 45.8 (47.3 last month) = 1.5% loss
BMI – 42.76 (44.93 last month) = 2.17 loss
According to my weight and measurement report, I lost 9.71 pounds of body fat, and 10 total inches. (They double the arm and thigh measurement for that.)
And to top it all off, my blood pressure has been lower than it’s been in forever. Today’s alone was 109/75, which is excellent. =) When I first started taking it there, it was in the 130/95 range. So in one month’s time, I’ve even brought my blood pressure down. Thanks to losing some weight and taking my omega 3 pills everyday. =)
If you notice my ticker, I’m down another pound from yesterday’s weigh-in. So in truth, I’ve lost 14.75 pounds.
I think I am doing very well. I’m very proud of myself. I still believe I can get this weight off. If I can lose almost 14 pounds in one month, I know I’m doing something right.
It’s getting easier day by day. I’m glad that I didn’t have to have surgery to do this. Not knocking anyone that has, mind you. I just didn’t want to resort to that. I’ve had 5 surgeries already. I don’t think I needed another one.
I have 2 pairs of pants that used to be so tight on me, and so unflattering. They actually fit nicely now, and the legs feel baggy in places. *smiles* And in a more personal note, I’m going to have to buy new underwear before long because all of mine are getting too big in the waist for me. I LOVE that!
My goal for this month is another 10 pounds. I think that’s going to be my goal every month. According to MY scale here at home, I’m 268 pounds. So I’m out of the 270’s. I am determined to stay out of the 70s stay in the 60s. We’ll see what happens.
So, it’s definitely true what they say about diet and exercise. You just have to apply yourself. You have to really want it deep down in your gut. You have to feel the NEED to lose weight in the very core of your person.
And like I said before, if I can do this… ANYONE can. I used to loathe the idea of exercising and eating things that were healthy for me. Now.. I don’t give it a second thought. I do it because I know this is what I need to do in order to be around longer for my kids.
Find some sort of motivating force and let it guide you where you want to be. Don’t give up on yourself. And don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it. YES YOU CAN! Love yourself enough to stay on track. *smiles*
Good luck to all my friends that are on the road to losing weight. God bless you all, always!

good job! the inches are what impress me – especially your abs and waist #s – that can be the hardest to get rid of (i know it is for me! when i diet i loose my boobs and butt, which are not the problem areas for me and i wouldn’t mind keeping lol!) Keep up the awesome work!!

That’s awesome! To make you feel even better, over here, in the UK, they weigh you in stones, which are 14 pounds each. So you’ve gone from 20.33 stone to 19.35. Almost a whole stone lost!
