This is as real as it gets, folks. Seriously. No one wants to believe I’m really “that” big. Well, here it is in black and white. I honestly hope by this time next year, my pictures and numbers will be looking a lot better! Thanks for all your support. It means a lot to me.
Tomorrow’s Day 5 of Phase 1. And you know, it’s gotten easier to do as the days progress. I got my Smart card today. And got to do my first workout with it. I burned 290 calories. Go me!
When I saw Rhonda today to give her the guest pass I had for her, she even commented that I looked like I’d lost some. Granted, it’s been a while since she’s seen me in person. *laughs* But it was nice to have acknowledgment of my 6 pound loss. Feels good. I realllly hope she joins. I think she’d like it. Can only wait and see. *fingers crossed*
Guess that’s all for now. I’m just waiting around for Xak to call/get home. Hopefully he got my message!

There are also charities where they will send a pound of food to impoverished places for every pound you lose — if you have the time, might want to look into that! I think it’s done in conjunction with The Biggest Loser.

You may want to check out the diary “Let’s Get Healthy”. They’re doing a Biggest Loser type challenge. I think I’m going to do it!

I just remembered as well, there’s a website called myplate or what’sonmyplate or something. You put in what you ate today and what exercise you’ve done. It works out how many calories you’ve eaten and how many you’ve lost and it’ adjusts your recommended calorie intake as well.

I am so, so proud of you Mikie!! I know you can do this and love that you have a place to go and people to help you. If there are times you backslide don’t let that make you give up. Just forgive yourself and keep going…you can do this!! I can’t wait to see you at your goal weight. Also, I hope you get that new computer. Will it be a desktop or a laptop?

i’m so happy for you mikie! i can’t wait to watch your progress. 🙂 ryn: i actually had to google how to hard boil them! i’ve never done it before. anyway, i put eggs in the bottom of the pan (it said don’t stack them, do just one layer on the bottom) and then filled the pan with cold water–just enough to so there is an inch of water above the eggs. then i put them on the stovetop with the burner on high, and once the water started a full boil i set the timer for 12 minutes. when 12 minutes was up, i took them out of the pan and cooled them in a big bowl of really cold water, until they were cool to the touch. i have no idea if they turned out right, but i guess we’ll see! 🙂

Awesome job! I to started losing weight in January.. today is my 3 month mark and I’ve lost 43 pounds already! I’m doing low carb and also keeping my calories in the 12-1500 mark but more mostly lower scale. Been walking everyday.. 2-3 miles. What is your facebook page? RYN: Thanks 🙂 Tom is encouraging me to take a supplement for calcium too. I have been drinking more milk its just hard because milk upsets my stomach. I’m going to buy more yogurt though so I’ll get some that way at least. Thanks for the advice 😉
