Wonderful Weekend

Our son came home from college this weekend.  It was a very nice weekend.  I enjoyed it tremendously.  I miss him though so much.  He should be about half way back to his dorm by now.  I am patiently awaiting the call to say he made it alright.  It’s been a long three hours so far.  I think he was happy to be home again.  He has been talking about coming home for a while. 
Of course we didn’t see much of him since he wanted to hook up with all his friends.   Also he and his girlfriend broke up but remain friends.  I think he really wants to keep his relationship with her but she isn’t interested.  So she uses him at times for rides and whatnot. 
It broke my heart to see him go.  He is supposed to be back again in a few weeks.  And Thanksgiving is a month away.  I will enjoy his company once again and I am so looking forward to it. 

I am off to finish laundry.
