Vacation somewhat…

I am on vacation this week with one job.  The one I am thinking of quitting.  But now they gave me a pay raise that was more than expected and I do get vacation and paid holidays.  I will stick it out until this summer and see what happens.  My other job is just Tues & Thurs. and sometimes might not be anymore than 10 hours a week.  Especially in the summer months when it isn’t as busy.  I so needed a break from one of those jobs to figure out what I am going to do.  I should just get a job that pays holiday and vacation and just have one job, but I do like going from one place one day to another the next.
Anyway I will suck it up for a bit longer and then figure out what I am going to do.  I don’t want to be working 6 days a week though and that will not happen.  I hope anyway.  Never fails someone is hurt, sick on vacation and then I get more hours then I wanted. And I was promised I wouldn’t get that many hours.  Funny how things work out.
My son went back to college yesterday and got back ok.  Glad about that.  It’s raining here today and about 40 outside.  The snow is really melting away.  I am sure more is on the way to replace it.  We have Championship tickets for the Packer game this weekend.  I decided not to go and hubby is taking his friend.  He is staying with his friends friend in Green Bay.  They will have more fun.  We also have the tickets for the next Championship game if they win and play in Green Bay.  Not sure if I will go to that either.  Would like to but it can be cold in January.    I told hubby he better figure out a way to take us to the SuperBowl if Green Bay goes.  We have to see the legend go.  I think Brett Favre will retire if they go to the Super Bowl anyway.  We will see.  He still looks like he is having a really good time out there. And players from other teams really look up to him and really want to see him play.  It’s great to watch.  Green Bay becomes a whole new town when there is a Packer game in town.  People go nuts!  It’s so fun to be a part of it all.
I wish our son could have been home to go but school is #1 for him right now.  He ended up with a 3.4 last semester.  It’s a very good GPA but not quite good enough to get into Pharmacy school if he was applying.  He knows what is expected of him this semester lets see if he can do it.  He is a good kid but I think he likes hanging out with his roomy’s too much! That may get in the way, it’s hard to disipline yourself to get out there and go for it. But it will effect his future so he has to do it.  He likes to make money and he is good with his money too. He still has money left over from last semester for his spending.  I told him once he doesn’t have a girlfriend the money goes further.  I think he finally figured that out.   He is a good kid and he will do well in life.  I only want the best for him as we all do for our kids.
I am making stew today it’s a dreary day and has been foggy most of the last few days.  So it sounded like something good to make and I love putting something into the crock pot and having it cook all day.  It frees up my time.  Just waiting for the mailman to come and hopefully bring my check.  Then run to the bank with it and then to the grocery store where they have 50% off all Lean Cuisine meals.
Ok I am out of here.  This seems like it was a long entry.  Haven’t done that in ages.  Of course nobody reads anyway.

I often read but don’t note…only because I usually have Ms. Squirmy worm in my lap…but now she is in bed! LOL at the saving more money when you don’t have a girlfriend line! RYN: Same outfit each time, I thought it would be interesting to see if I could still squeeze into it in the end!

I’m with the above noter, I read but don’t always note either.
