Shocking but expected.
I am sure you all have heard that Brett Favre announced his retirement yesterday. It will be hard to go to the football games now. I am sure tickets won’t be going for so much $$$ now. Some people were scalping tickets for $1700 to the championship game in January.
All in all it was a great run and it was a pleasure watching him play every week. He so loves the game. Maybe he will come out of retirement after a year or two and play. It’s just so much fun to watch him.
I know there are people out there that hate him because he is who he is a great football player. But he made a name for himself. We are not a team that is owned by millionaires willing to buy their good players. The Packer’s are owned by the stock holders,us the community. So it makes it even more fun to go to the games and have a great time. We don’t pay a ton of money for tickets and we love the outdoors and that is what football is all about. Not sitting in a comfortable dome and we are not lousy fans.
Anyway that is my vent for the day.
Thanks 4 the memories Brett!

nice diary! I lived in Wisconsin for 25 years. Went to Many games and practices, met Favre he was nice. I know this is a big loss to the team but he deserves to retire now. Have a great day

I’ll miss watching him play too. I attended a few games in Green Bay years ago & my dad & brothers have attended more recently. Packer fans are awesome. My granddaughter had 2 cheerleading outfits when she was 2 & 3 years old, one packer outfit & an eagles outfit. (My ex lives in Phillie & his family are big time Eagle fans.)
