Rainy week

The weather looks like rain for the rest of the week.  Maybe into next week.   We still are not dried out from the last downpour.  I haven’t watered my flowers in forever since the sun is not out to dry them out or even shine to make them grow.  It will be August before they are big and blooming and then it won’t be long after that they will start to die.  I just got them planted a couple of weeks ago.  It’s been so wet and cold I didn’t want to pay all that money and then have them die.

Work is going well.  We just found out we will now have to merchandise music.  Not sure if that is good or bad, but maybe it will give me more hours.  I will find out more in the next couple of weeks.  My manager is going to Atlanta next week for  district meetings so I am sure I will get an earful when she gets back.  Can’t wait.

Older son is doing well at his job and working alot.  Which means big paychecks for him to save for college.  Every bit helps.  This fall it won’t be so bad.  We don’t have to come up with two big payments at one time.  We will pay is rent by the month so it helps to only have a small payment every month rather than a large payment plus tuition for classes and books.  I just hope he can keep doing well and get into Pharmacy school in three years instead of four.  Plus then it’s another four years of Pharmacy school.  I pray every day he sticks to it.  He seems determined until he starts to have fun and then I think the fun outweighs the homework at times.  Let’s hope not this year he said he wants to get a 4.0 I told he almost needs to, to get the GPA up a bit. I am excited for him he is smart and if he goes thru with this he can do well in life. It’s just getting there.

Tomorrow is the last day of school for our  other son.  Hard to believe he will be a senior next year.  I just can’t wait until the end of next year.  He doesn’t have a clue on what he wants to do.  Maybe go to the tech school and be a cop.  Or maybe join the Air Force.  Not a bad thing but he just isn’t motivated.  We will see in due time.  Maybe he will go to school and love it and just keep going.  Who knows with him anything is possible.  He does have to work for it though and the kid NEVER does homework.  That won’t get him far in a college or tech school.

My neice is coming to take his senior pictures on Sunday.  He doesn’t want them taken at all.  I am making him get them done.  She isn’t a professional but it is good enough for a kid who has no interest in having them done. Then she just gives me the disk and I take it and have the pictures printed up that I want.  Works great and doesn’t cost that much.  The money we save goes into their savings account towards school. 

I really need to clean my house.  I am glad this isn’t a graduation year because I have not been motivated in the least.  I think I might get my friend from Minneapolis to come and clean for me next year.  We will see if he is around.  I think he would do a good job and I won’t have to worry about it before the graduation.
