It’s time for an entry

I think it’s about time for another entry it’s been over a month.  My car is in the shop

I took it there last week and they called me Monday and said the bumper came in damaged so it would another couple of days.  That is fine I have a rental and it’s less miles I am putting on my car. 

The graduation went by nicely.  The ceremony was only about 1.5 hours and it was hot and stuffy in the gym like it always is.  But we sat at the bottom at the end of the bleachers and they had to doors open so it was nice  and not too offially hot. 

The party didn’t go as well.  Not a whole lot of people showed up and then the weather decided it was going to be cold and rain.  I think it barely reached 50 that day and then it rained for most of the day.  Well you can’t have it all I guess.  We stayed nice and warm in the garage and I had the house open too if people wanted to come inside they could. 

I had my son write out his thank you notes as soon as he opened the card.  Otherwise I knew they wouldn’t get done.  So the rule was that he opened a card he had to write a thank you.  He wasn’t even interested in doing any until Tuesday and i was like you need to open your cards and get that stuff done.  Well he thought it was too much work to write the thank you.  Kids these days!  I told him to work on 5 a day and then get them done.  He did 5 and then called his cousin to come over.  He said maybe I will work on them until he gets here. Well he ended up finishing them because it took his cousin an hour to get here.  Just glad to get that out of the way.  Now I feel like the summer is mine. 

Been raining here alot this spring.  Summer officially starts on Sunday and it looks like next week it is supposed to be in the upper 80’s.  I don’t care after last winter I am so sick of the cold.  I like not having to wear shoes and my feet not being cold. Winter just drags on and on and it just wouldn’t warm up at all.  Plus we were in Mexico in March and so you think you are going to get that weather in April or May but no it’s finally the end of June and we are warming up.  At least everything is green and full again.  WE can’t even see any of our neighbors houses because of all the thick brush and the trees just keep getting thicker and thicker with leaves.

Have to go to the University of Minnesota this weekend as my older son has to take his PCAT test for Pharmacy school.  Sure hope he does good so he can start applying.  They only start in August so if he doesn’t do well and apply this year it will be 2011 before he can apply again.  Just seems so far off. If we knew he could get in it would be nice but the wait is just killing us.  Unless you are an absolute genious and do well in school and on your PCAT test it’s harder to get in.  Only 85 students for most of the schools so alot of competion.  And it’s so exspensive too.  We are hoping he can get into North Dakota where he is now it’s not nearly as expensive as it is in private schools.  Let’s just hope!

The neighborhood is having their thrift sale so I think I will go look around and see what people have to get rid of.  Hope all is well in OD land.
