It’s Friday!!!

It’s finally Friday and a long weekend.  Well to most people.  I sometimes have Monday’s off so it doesn’t feel any longer to me.  I am looking forward to this weekend though.  I do have to work tomorrow morning until 12:30 and then we are headed up to the Lake.  We are going to have a cookout for my parents 50th since we didn’t get a chance to go out for dinner on their real anniversary.  We had a real nice party for them in July though and a very good turnout.  I think about 350 people showed up.  Some old neighbors I haven’t seen in years.  It was nice.
Hubby took our younger son  to Valley Fair today.  It’s a big amusement park like Six Flags.  So I have the evening to myself.  I am going to the neighbors around 7, they are having a fire tonight.  So I will go for a bit after I get all my crap done around here.  Just finish cooking scalloped potatoes and letting them cool before I put them in the fridge.  Gotta get my work stuff together for tomorrow and then a small lunch.  I want to leave as soon as I get home because it’s close to an hour drive up there.  We will stay for a couple of hours and then come home.  I am sure the mosquitos will be deadly.  It has rained here alot in the last couple of weeks and they usually make up for it up there. 
It’s warm here today and the weekend looks to be very nice and warm.  That is a first.  Usually it rains and it’s very cold.  The nights are getting cooler which I love.  And the days are getting shorter. Kids around here start school on Wednesday of next week.  Not sure if I am looking forward to it or not.  Our younger son will have to drive himself everyday.  Hope that works out because I am not driving over to that rat race.  Thank god, it’s only a couple of blocks from here.
