Shot In The Butt…LOL

Well, I guess it’s time for an update. One of these days I’ll update regularly…like everyday. I know school is out, but I’ve been trying to help my cousin out so he can graduate…tomorrow…that’s a whole other story…today was quite interesting. Guess I might as well start my update there and move backwards lol. Work was going great…typical day…well I was getting a slight headache and caffeine just wasn’t cutting it. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it or not, but in the past when I’ve taken Ibuprofen..I have a weird reacting..I never really considered it an allergy…but it was weird..I’d get all congested…wheezy…runny/stuffy nose…it was bad. But never REALLY bad…it always go away within a few hours. Well today I took the stuff out of our first aid cabinet…it was like PainAid or something like that. It worked..and I wasn’t getting any side effects..finally I did…so..I’d say it was like 2 hours later I took some Dilotab out of there…just took one of the pills out of the packet…it was like right after I started getting really really light-headed and shaky….my throat felt like it was closing off and I was like way dizzy. I got really bad and my eyes were starting to swell. I asked my mom if she’d take me to the dr..hospital..something..but we were in the middle of trying to help my cousin finish up with one last speech. It got WAY worse..I was wheezy..all the regular symptoms I’ve had in the past, and then on top of the shaking, dizziness, light headedness and along with my eyes swelling up..my entire face started swelling…then I started getting a rash..all over..my chest..my face turned bright red and hot. It actually started scaring me, but I knew exactly what it was. I was really trying to help my cousin so I didn’t want to leave right then. I tried doing the best I could…it ended up being real short..and he didn’t have time to record it like he had the rest so he just took it over and did it in front of the teacher…sounds like he did alright. Anyways, after they left we..meaning..my mom, my sister, and Matt(my mom called him and he left work early) we decided to just go to Community Care..even though they all knew what the dr would say. I got in and told him what was up..they had taken my blood pressure and what not. He comes in and asks me whats up and basically tells me I’m lucky I’m not dead or it was worse…because of the times it’s happened in the past..he says sometimes it’ll kill ya the first time…others are lucky to get about 3 times…the third time their dead…totally freaked me out. He basically lectured me about taking Ibuprofen…without saying it, he told me that I should just NOT take any over the counter pain meds at all. Then he says that usually the best thing to do is take Benadryl…then he tells me what they’ll do is give me a shot of steriods and then an antahistamine(lol can’t spell it) and then they’ll have me wait around for a half an hour or so to see how I’m doing. I KNEW they wouldn’t want to give me the shot in my arm..just had a feeling…so the nurse comes in and I was like..do you just need my arm..and she’s like no your bum…I was like..are you serious…she’s like not really your bum, but your hip..it’s not really my lower back..but not my butt…anyways..I HATE shots..it wasn’t too bad..just the poke..didn’t sting or anything til about 3 minutes after..I was dying! I also asked the dr about some warts that have spread all over my one foot…I know totally disgusting…but he just said to buy some Compound W..if that doesn’t work..which he was quite sure it would..then I could spend the money to have them froze off or whatever…..anyways, so I took the pill and then waited around for about 10 minutes and he said I could go and I told him I was already feeling much better. I was feeling tons better by the time I got there…my one eye was still swollen shut though. Anyways..needless to say the shot in the butt helped lol. I feel MUCH better and I will NEVER take a pain med again! I swear. My mom and Matt told me exactly what the dr would say, but I guess I just had to hear it from a dr.
So yeah..we went to Wal Mart and bought the stuff for my warts and some makeup and stuff. Well..guess I’ll update in the next entry.
