12 month checkup and question for other moms?

Two in one day! Totally amazing for me! Took Kaelee to her 12 month checkup…even though she’s 14 months.  She’s perfectly healthy and growing like a weed.  25lbs and growing lol.  She did end up having to get 6 shots which was torture.  She has such a temper…just like her daddy…she screamed bloody murder…and gave the nurses a look like what the hell did you just do to me.  It wasn’t a nice look.  Developmentally, she’s: 
crawling
walking
standing up with and without the help of something pulling her up
she plays patty cake and will say "patty cake"
says "momma, dadda, puppy, hey, hi, bye, jayc(my sisters name is jayci), no, those are all I can think of right now she sure jabbers a lot but those are the ones that make sense and I know she knows what she’s saying when she’s saying them.  
she loves to dance
and mostly all the other things a one year old does…she’s SUCH a busy girl lol
 
She’s actually in bed now, didn’t take nearly as long naps as she usually does today and I think she was just worn out and sore from the shots.  I tried to keep her up long enough for her daddy to call, but we didn’t make it, she’s out and he hasn’t called yet.  Normally she’s up until 7:30 or 8 but by 6:30 she was fussy and I finally gave in and put her to bed at 7.  
I did have a question for other moms out there though.  I normally don’t do a flu shot.  I have never had one, I have never given Mason one, but I gave in and finally had them do both kids today.  I don’t really know why I have never done it before, and my kids have been fine, but doc told me that the past few years have been very mild when it comes to the flu and he knows it’s going to hit hard one year and it could be anytime.  So…I kinda had a feeling I should just go with it and they did.  Do you guys usually have your child get flu shots????
