Quick Update

The kids are back in school and I have enjoyed the quiet here at home. They both had a good first week! Austin has a new teacher and new classroom aides this year, even though he’s in the same class as last year. And when I say new teacher, I literally mean new teacher. It’s her first year. Abigail has a student teacher in her room for the first half of the year. She and the regular teacher seem pretty nice. Hopefully it’s a good year.

So we met Kayla. She was very sweet and shy, excited and nervous… we pretty much felt the same way haha. But our first meeting went well and we get to see her again this coming Tuesday. The kids haven’t met her yet, but probably will after this second visit. Today is her 15th birthday. We sent her a gift in the mail earlier this week. I’m really looking forward to seeing her again.

We’re still raising funds for Austin’s bike. Yesterday we received a huge donation, lunging us much closer to our goal. We’re now about 75% of the way there! Hopefully we’ll be cruising with Austin before winter.
