Goings-On

Well, I don’t think we’ll be able to buy that house. It’s not a big deal; it just would have been nice. We still may be able to buy sooner than we originally though, though, which would be good. Time will tell, though it’ll likely be several months. No worries.

Pretty excited to get our taxes back, though. We’re paying off my car! Such a large chunk of money we’ve been paying on that for sooo long. It’ll be nice to have that extra bit every month so we can pay more things off and save more as well. Let’s just hope the car doesn’t take a giant crap for a few more years LOL.

So we have a new adoption case worker. I think I told you that already? Anyway, the girl is still in training! The supervisor will be helping her oversee our case, though, so hopefully it won’t be an issue. We’re already having to wait a few weeks until she’s done with training. The two of them will be coming out to meet us in a couple weeks, at which point our application should be 100% complete (I hope!). Then we have to sit back and wait some more, until they can review our entire file, and THEN they can send our information along to the girl’s case worker. That is, if she is still available when it’s time. Sure hope so.

In the meantime I’m planning Austin’s 6th birthday party. I know, right? What the hell. Do not ask me how he is almost six already, because I do not know. I’m excited for him this year, though, because instead of inviting all of Abigail’s friends like we usually do, we’ve invited a couple of kids from his class at school! One little girl and her family have already RSVP’ed, which is pretty awesome. I’m also darn excited because it’s a pirate-themed party! Squee! 

In other happy news, I just got my very first smart phone. LG Optimus Q Android phone for Straight Talk. It’s not set up yet, but will be in the next week or two. I’m ready for my mind to be blown and my brain to be fried… haha.
