Howdy, y’all.
First: Abigail’s heart is perfect. She does get an irregular beat from time to time, but the cardiologist assured us that it was normal and likely from changes in her breathing (possibly a touch of white coat syndrome as well lol).
That day we did take Ab to the stables to meet the horses. I thought maybe once she saw them up close and personal that she’d be a little intimidated, but I was wrong! She walked right up and talked to them, and had Eric lift her up so she could pet their noses. So it looks like she’s definitely going to start riding lessons in the near future. So excited for her!
Austin won’t keep his shoes on to save his life. It’s not the end of the world, but it’s really annoying in public lol. I haven’t weighed him, but he is eating apples every day and trying new things from time to time, so that’s good. Austin’s therapy/respite worker is leaving us. So sad. She graduated from MSU and is doing her student teaching farther away, so she’s moving. We meet her replacement this afternoon.
We haven’t heard anything from the adoption case worker yet. I may give her a call today to see what’s up.
Eric goes back on nights May 12th. Blah. We’ve been biking a lot while the kids are at school. We’ve been looking for a bike that would allow us to bring Austin with us. The only one I can find that I think would actually work for him is over $6,000!! Everything "special needs" comes with a ridiculous price tag. 🙁
EDIT: This is the bike I want for me and Austin!! It’s super expensive, yes, but it’s amaze-balls.
Anywhoozle, it’s Eric’s last day off, so I’m out of here while he’s home.
