home sick today

Dear diary,
I am staying home today with a upper respitory thing.  I tried to make it through the week but yesterday was NOT fun.  By the time I got to the first grade, I couldn’t do it.  They were out of control and I had to turn into the "witch" art teacher.  One boy in the door way on chair, one boy at back table with head down, one girl at other back table not to talk.  I figured if I could just get through the 4th grade it would be great.  This 4th grade is one of the best classes in the school so I knew it would be fine.
After school I went to the health food store for some remedies.  I bought Wellness Formula by source naturals and I can already feel a difference.  I bought tea "throat coat" for coughing as well as vitamin C packets.  I also stopped to get some nice hot soup because I was not going to fix anything when I came home.  By the time I arrived home, I was done for!!  I ate the soup, doctored myself up and crawled into bed.  I took my temp and it was 101.  I slept off and on, sweating, drinking tea, taking wellness formula and sweating more.  This morning I have no temp. and my cough is much better, but I am staying home so I won’t be sick over the weekend and Christmas.
I am staying indoors today and resting.  Maybe making a few more cards that I need to send out.  I am making cards from some old paint blots the children did for a project.  They came out pretty good if I do say so myself.
I always like hand made cards anyway.
I hope to be well enough to go back to work tomorrow.  This is not a good week to take off and our faculty Christmas party is Friday night so I want to be ok for that.
Well off to make more tea…..
Peace,
LYB

Christmas is rapidly approaching! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU And 2 all the sweet people around you.

Getting sick in the winter is a common thing. You’d think that the cold would freeze all those germs…but then, you are inside all that time. I am glad to read that you recovered quickly.
