Want to see the cutest thing?

Okay, so my kid is really cute, but I was trying to get her headband

I’m on a local yard sale board and someone makes the Disney princess ribbon headbands I saw on Pinterest and was all "crap I’m not that crafty". I got her a full set and my accessorizing girl loves them! Of course she doesn’t really "know" any of the princesses yet, but she loves putting them on and admiring herself. I feel like I’m the mom all those anti-princess/pretty articles are about, but dammit. There is nothing wrong with being a little girly! I tell her she’s funny all the time, too, and we do plenty to make her smart, I can tell her she’s pretty, too.

That’s Belle she’s wearing, by the way. Also, the whole point of getting the booster seat was so she could sit at the table and after 2 days of her constantly pushing away from the table and yelling STUCK we went back to using the tray.

Our play date Wednesday was so much fun. I was bummed when we had to leave for nap time, but I pushed her later than she normally goes down as it is and you can’t argue with a toddler who’s yelling NAP. I still kind of feel like the one who was hosting favors my friend over me and I was just invited along, but as long as they keep inviting me I’ll go hang out 😛 My friend ended up staying until 5 that night! (we got there at 10 AM) Her daughter doesn’t really nap. The kids played really well and we basically just sat around and talked. At the organized group we all go to it’s harder to chat because they go around the room and let people ask questions and air grievances and you’re supposed to at least kind of pay attention and offer suggestions.

On the flip side, I’m hoping they don’t stay at my house until 5 PM next week! Riley and I are hosting a Valentine’s play date the Monday before, wohoo.

That’s pretty much it. We’re going to Cheri’s for Super Bowl tomorrow and I’m very excited. I made the s’mores bars last night and will premake the popper dip either tonight or tomorrow morning to bake when we get home at half time (since Riley will have to go to bed). I’ve done a lot of cooking the last 2 days! I don’t know how the gyros are going to come out, but I might never make them again lol, it has been time consuming. The home made pitas look amazing, though. Bread really isn’t that hard to make, I’m thinking I might start getting into that. Probably a silly plan with a baby on the way, but commercial breads are high in sodium and it seems so expensive for high fructose corn syrup-free brands. Plus my house smelled amazing after. If only I could make my own milk/cheese. I told my mom we’re going to get a cow – we go through cheese like it’s nothing and I feel like the price just keeps going up.

I guess I should go finish the salad and tzatziki for tonight. I think tomorrow I need to nap when Riley does!
