Second time’s a charm

It took us one month for our first and two for the 2nd….is this a starting trend? 🙂 I got an instant line on an early pregnancy test this morning, three days earlier than with Riley! My first reaction was freak out, but I’ve decided to not believe it until later on. According to the calculators I’m 3 weeks 4 days, that’s so freaking early! The way my cycles were last time I was at least over 4 weeks when I tested. What am I going to do with TWO of these things running around?

I feel like it’s going to be harder to keep secret this time, I don’t know why. The end of September is the 12 week mark which is when we heard the h/b and then told everyone the last time. It’s only 2 months, we should totally be able to do that.

I had a great last hurrah last week lol. Wednesday night we went out for drinks after work and I had one too many. It was ladies night, half off hard alcohol, and I picked cherry vodka. Why, after our long and sordid history, we may never know. As the night went on and more people arrived I got moved uncomfortably close to a male coworker of mine who then made an inappropriate remark regarding his intentions towards me when I started working there. I was also exhausted and basically fell out of all conversation. Inappropriate guy asked if I was okay and I responded with something stupid about going internal for a bit….which probably looked bad considering it happened after his "reveal". It is what it is. Not my best night.

Thursday the same group (give or take) was going out STILL for Steve’s birthday. I wasn’t going to go, but one of the other girls (who had said she wasn’t going) texted to say she changed her mind and I should meet them at 10. So I went out again. We ran into my friend Jim at the 2nd bar and he thought it was the greatest thing in the world I was out drinking lol. He was all "I love it, just tell Phil to take the baby and you’re going out!" Yeah, the baby was in bed and not waking until the next morning, Phil was doing nada. That was a really fun night.

I was invited out again Saturday, but it was a small group and the only person I knew going (besides the organizer) hates me, so I chose to avoid the awkwardness. We went to Maine to visit my fam instead and my sister and I had wine and watched The Switch that night. The next day we met my BFF Emily (WHO IS HOME FROM GRAD SCHOOL, I’m loving it) and saw Harry Potter finally *le sigh* I wasn’t as big a fan of the movies as I was the books, but the last few were really good.

I found another Boston Gold ticket (Supernatural convention) for a very decent price. Of course the last one was listed 3 times with no bidders and someone else is up against me for this one. I’m really nervous. The auction ends tomorrow night and I want this SO BAD! It’s even the seat next to a girl I’ve been talking to on the event group for forever. This is supposed to be my ticket, dammit!!

I love my child so much it’s insane. I always thought I was a baby person, but I’m really not lol. I feel like we finally came up for air when she reached 9 months and when she started sleeping through the night at a year I could have cried I was so happy. She just does so much and communicates so well for having very few words and has a ridiculously hilarious personality. So much more fun than the baby blob she started out as lol. She gets excited a lot in case you couldn’t tell by all the open mouth shots lol. Her hair is long enough now I can do one ponytail at the BACK of her head, craziness. I tried today for the first time and it made her look so old 🙁 She had her first beach adventure last week, but sadly she dropped my camera today and shattered the screen so I can’t get at the newest pics. And of course my SD card isn’t compatible with Phil’s camera, boo.

Oh well.
