My First “Day In The Life”
I decided to participate in a "Day in the Life" today. Although I do keep up with Instagram, it’s more kind of random and just when the mood strikes me. Sometimes i post a few times a day, sometimes I don’t post at all for a couple days (although lately I’m pretty active with it, especially now that I discovered some cute little Apps that I can add text and edits to). It was a little trickier to try to actively keep up with it, although snapping photos with my phone was a breeze. There were a couple times I couldn’t edit right away but I got to as close as "live" as it was happening as I could!
Anyway, without further adieu, here is my July 16, 2013, as told from my iPhone/Instagram! Some of you may have already seen these but here’s my day….
I’m doing a "day in the life" today just for fun which means
I might flood your news feed a bit more than usual. Why not start at the crack of dawn? Sigh…
He climbed in the shower fully clothed while I was in there.
Wesley’s awake! Watching Bubble Guppies in our master bathroom while I get ready for the day.
Happening at the same time… Wesley breakfast on the porch, Jasper wrestling with Nathan.
Finished getting ready watching some DVR Real Housewives, Wesley left with Nathan,
Jasper down for a nap… Now time to return some emails on the front porch!
And he’s up!
Lunch and visiting at Great Grandpa Charlie and Great Grandma Marilyn’s house.
Got a little busy for awhile… Post office run for our change of address cards finally,
checking on the kids "tractor" for the parade float on Saturday, dropping off Jasper with Grandma, and a client phone call .. Whew!
Of course the first time I hang up sheets and pillowcases to dry in the sun there is a forecast of rain and now I’m not home!
Jasper gets a trim around the ears.
Wesley gets a haircut too, he takes it very seriously.
Church potluck picnic–got rained out so we ate in the basement. Still good food no matter where we ate it!
Playtime on the front porch.
Bath Time
Bedtime stories for Wesley… Reading a classic from my 80s childhood Mercer Mayer’s Little Monster at School.
KIDS IN BED! Time to relax!
And that’s where I’ve been sitting ever since, in fact I still am and it’s two hours later… Nathan has been watching True Grit and I’ve been just bumming around surfing the internet, but I am SO.TIRED from being up at 5:30 a.m. this morning I think as soon as I hit "save" on this entry I am crawling right into bed a soon as I can ! <br />
This will be fun to read and see the others who participated. 🙂
Little boys getting haircuts = adorable Also, I just did a DITL too!

I need to do an entry like this. I did something similar last year but not a “day in the life”

What fun! You look so happy and healthy in that picture of you getting ready. I am happy you are in such a good space – both mentally and in that *gorgeous* new home. DITL was very interesting! 🙂

Jacob is obsessed with the Little Critter books…I don’t have any of mine from when I was little though. I haven’t seen the Monster one!

Your boys are SO adorable. Love the serious look on Wesley’s face as he’s getting a haircut! & who told Jasper it was okay for him to be old enough to be able to stand at the door like that? Awesome post!

The boys are so adorable getting their hair cuts! Just out of curiosity, how much do their cuts cost? Ravi’s is $19 here! Isn’t that nuts?! Such a nice day you had. 🙂

I love looking back at my own DITL posts of our family with a baby/toddler and I’m sure you will too. Really fun to look back on! And yes, these overlay apps are fantastic!

Awesome! Wow, what a busy day! I’ve never done one of these. Maybe I should 🙂 Did you pick a particular day where you knew you’d have a variety of activities? Or was it a last-minute “Today is the day” choice?

Cute entry and a great idea. I would do it but considering 12 hrs of my day is at work it would be boring. However thanks for the inspiration. I think I might do it one weekend! Super cute family! –
