A Postcard from June
Summer is flying by.
Loving every minute of it–well, most of it!
Jasper is crawling everywhere, Wesley saw his very first movie in the theater last weekend (Monsters University!), and we leave on an airplane for harvest in Kansas this Sunday to visit Nathan for a week and a half over the 4th of July.
The weather has been warm and humid, the bugs are plenty, but earth is lush and green, the trees are bursting with big fat leaves, and the flowers and ferns that adorn my front porch are absolutely gorgeous. I love to spend time out there, either sitting at the table having a "picnic" with my boys, watering plants, or just enjoying the fresh air while the kids play in the yard.
Photography has hit busy time again and I still struggle to balance it out, but I do the best I can. The summer calendar is getting full of both work and play. I love our little community and hometown celebrations coming up… All School Reunions, the county fair, street dances and kids activities. Jasper LOVES the pool (kiddie plastic pool) so we spend a lot of time in the water. We are truly in the "dog days of summer"…
I continue to love this beautiful home we built, and although it is sadly empty without Nathan here to share these summer memories here, I know we will be together soon.
You literally cannot make this up–the rain clouds reflecting off the setting sun reflecting off these crazy clouds in the east made this
fantastic display of amazing lighting a few nights ago. I grabbed my camera. OF COURSE!
I cannot believe he is already 7 months old…
Cannot get enough of these adorable faces!
And my sweet Wesley is getting so big these days…
So so many more photos to share, but I can hardly keep my eyes open. Until we meet again!
🙂

Oh, such sweet boys 🙂 JP is juuuust starting to get interested in sitting, but not so much. On the other hand, he’s actually kind of mobile even though he’s not even 6 months old yet! He does this leaping/crawling thing on his stomach, it’s funny 🙂

Your house looks as perfect and magical as it did when you were photoshopping ideas onto a picture of your land all those years ago – but it’s even better, because it’s real and it’s exactly what you wanted! What a stunning home you have. Jasper’s scrunched up wee face is ADORABLE. And Wesley is such a handsome young man!
