a buncha nothin? or somethin.
Oh MAN. My life is so hectic, Im such a terrible writer. I think Facebook is to blame. I used to accumulate things in my mind all day that I wanted to write down in OD, but now I can just login on my phone from ANYWHERE and status update whatever random thought I’m having and discuss any question or issue I want, vent about the kids, whatever. It’s INSTANTLY GRATIFYING. But I really wish I were better at cross copying all that stuff to here, because I hate that I don’t have the same records of Milo’s life as I did with Kasin, because when Kasin was little, I would update almost every day, and so I can look back through my OD and find every head cold, vacation, fishing trip, first ANYTHING, hilarious anecdotes, etc.
So, a quick Milo run down-
He’s STILL got a freaking double ear infection. Stupid Dr. Ganett (who I usually refuse to see, but she was the only one available last week when I took him in…) gave him Biaxin, which didn’t help AT ALL with the ear infections and after 5 days of that medicine he was getting a fever and being very sad and cranky, so I took him to first care. The Dr looked in his ears and goes "OH, Man.. that’s a REALLY bad ear infection." so he prescribed him Amoxicillin and Milo is already doing much better. He’s still having to take motrin every 6 hours (it was 4 until today, so even that is an improvement) in order to be happy and not miserable. Poor kid. I feel awful for him. The Amox upsets his tummy, so he’s had lots of vomiting and diarrhea, and he doesn’t want to eat.. which makes it that much worse. He would feel so much better if he’d eat. 🙁 He has also been waking up in the middle of the night to throw up, which sucks. Poor kid. this morning he woke up with crusty puke all over the side of his head. Poor thing.
New things he likes to say- "What happened, Momma?" "Hi, Momma, wutcha doin?" (or substitute the name of anyone else he may be talking to.) "MY Pone!" (phone, he just says a P sound instead of a F sound) "Where ‘mote go?" (for the TV remote) "You don’t bite!!" (usually says this to the cats *who actually DONT bite* or to Ross when he’s playing om nom chomp chomp the baby) and most recently and hilariously, "Shh!" he thinks this is great, and if I tell him to do something he doesn”t want to do, he’ll tell me "No, no, no, Momma.. Shh!" Brat face. <3 lol
He loves Timmy Time right now, and freaking Yo Gabba Gabba, which I HATE, but since he’s been sick and miserable I’ve let him watch a few episodes, and so now he wants to watch it all the time. This WONT be an obsession I will be supportive of. lol.
He is having an epic Sesame Street xmas, including a giant playset of Sesame Street with all the characters and some puzzles, books, a felt play mat with about a million pieces that stick to all the pages, a stuffed Abby Cadabby, Big Bird, Snuffy, and an Elmo shirt.. the books are Elmo’s Big Potty Book and Big Enough for a Bed (also an Elmo book) and there’s like 4 puzzles. This is all just from Santa, and I got him a ton of other stuff from us. He’s getting finger paints and paper for his easel, paint brushes and rollers, some stacking bath cups, a Little People farmer tractor with a trailer and animals, a ton of books, an Elmo DVD, some boats for the bath tub, a hand full of Little People lift the flap books, Toy Story on DVD, some ABC magnet letters for the fridge.. ummm, I think that’s it. I got almost all the stuff I chose on eBay or Amazon, for cheap. I paid like 99 cents for the letter magnets, and they’re wooden and hand painted, totally adorable. AND, the big Sesame Street playset was like a $50 eBay purchase, but it got totally refunded because she dropped it before she shipped it and broke a clip on the top that holds the playset shut when you carry it. I’m not planning to carry it around, so that doesn’t even matter to me, and I actually almost feel bad about accepting the refund, but HEY! SWEET DEAL! free $50 toy!!
Kasin is getting spoiled as usual, too. I feel a little bad, though, because he got more expensive items, and therefore fewer of them. Also, my dad bought him random Ninjago lego sets on Amazon that he already has, rather than looking through Kasin’s Amazon wish list and getting him stuff that he WANTED…. and THEN, Kasin did a letter to Santa for a school assignment, and NONE of the stuff he asked Santa for is stuff I am getting or planned on getting him. They did a fingerprinting project at school, so he asked for a Detective Kit and Lego StarWars 2 and Lego Batman 2 for his DS… I got him Pokemon Pearl for DS (from Santa), a big Ninjago set (mecha something..) the Ninjago Character Encyclopedia, Season 1 of the Ninjago show on DVD, a Ninjago Official Guide book, Mario and Donkey Kong Mini-Land Mayhem for the DS, and a Pokemon Guardians DS game.. from Santa he’s getting a bunch of Pokemon character figurines, a Pokemon tshirt, a set of like 8 Pokemon novels, new styluses for his DS (he always loses them, so I got him a pack of like 10 or 12), a big stuffed Pilpup (I think? It’s a big penguin pokemon..) and a smaller stuffed Charizard, 4 booster packs of Pokemon cards, and the aforementioned DS game (Which I got on eBay for like, 4$) and two Pokemon board-type games, one is sort of like a Pinball machine and one is a card game. I wonder where those ARE, btw… lol.. Im digging through my closet full of hidden gift stuff and not finding them, yet. I probably just stashed them somewhere else. I can’t find two shirts I got for Ross, too, and I don’t remember if maybe I just already wrapped them?? There’s an Octopus one and a Primus one, but Idk where they are.. hahaha
SO, anyone who feels like they went overboard on THEIR kids for xmas, can now feel much better, right? lol
Ross is ALSO getting spoiled this year, because I eBayed it up for him- he’s getting a Primus poster, a Les Claypool signed poster, a Primus Tshirt, a Weyland Corporation Tshirt, 2 Weyland die cut decals for his car, a few funny bumper stickers, the Aliens anthology on BluRay (he’s gunna PISS HIMSELF over this, AND this…>>) A book of Prometheus film art (I swear, he’s going to PEE.) a bunch of random kitchen stuff (new cookie sheet, candy thermometer, some little pyrex measuring dishes for spices and dry ingredients/prep work, etc.) and a few tool things that Kasin picked out for him, including a new hammer (he lost mine somewhere so we dont have one at all now) and a box knife. I also ordered him a new pair of pants from Old Navy (they’re flannel lined!) and a sweater and a button up shirt and some PJ pants, and a cool Octopus shirt I found on Amazon and know he’ll love.
NOW, if anyone has any suggestions on what to get for JULIE, Kasin’s grandma, who lives in my basement, that’d be great. Kasin picked out some scented candles and picture frames for her, but I have no idea what to get her from US. She’s my ex husband’s mother, so it’s a weird relationship, but she’s SO awesome and she does SO much for us, so I want to get her something great, but I have NO IDEA what to get.. I got her slippers for her birthday, and she loved them, but that was all I could think of. I got her some like, tired leg lotion and home pedicure stuff to go with it, but the rest was just cop out cuz she’s not too big on that sort of home beauty stuff. I never pick out clothes she likes, either. I’m just not sure. : Probably a gift card to Sunrise Bagel & Espresso Stand, because she LOVES them, but we need something really good, too. ArGH!!
And I need to shop for my brother, still. I got him some big chunky DnD dice from Milo, but Kasin and I haven’t thought of anything to get him, yet. He’s not too hard to please, though, I suppose… the problem is that he buys all the stuff he wants, so I don’t really have anything to go off of. I might get him some new shirts and pajama pants, because the man just does NOT buy himself clothes and wears old grungy smells shirts he’s had for 10+ years. Other than that, Idk.. clothes feel like a lame gift, though. lol… idk. He also just got his first apartment of HIS OWN with NO roomie, but he has already gotten most of the stuff he needs. I am planning to frame a few pictures of the kids for him to hang up in his new place, though. Even though he won’t care. hahaha. OH! Posters would be a good idea. 🙂
Alright, I rambled on long enough.. I’m about to go meet up with Heather for lunch at the Chowder House. It’s gunna be delicious. I love chowder. <3

I like the gift card idea for Julie. If she liked the slippers, would she like a robe or anything like that? That or good bath stuff from Lush. That’s my go to stuff. Ashley
