Smile like you mean it

Sigh. A day off.

I tried to write again a couple days ago but couldn’t get anything out of me.

Birthday update?

Friday we all went out-plan was to go to Sgt Prestons. I guess a truck hit a light pole-all of the electricity was out in ONLY that area! So the bar closed 10 mins after we got there.

so what else could we do besides head to Lyles? I got just drunk. Amanda introduced me to a shot called ‘red headed slut’ I loved it. I proceeded to have 5 more throughout the evening and a jag-bomb that carlson ordered me. The last things I remember were tim, joel and JP getting there and having my last shot of the night. Erik said I was passing out at the table! I am pretty classy like that.

So Ady drove me home-don;t remember walking to her car or anything.

As soon as I got home, I threw up in the rocks. I really did not plan on drinking that much AT ALL, and I still can’t believe the shots hit me as hard as they did. Those damn red-heads I tell ya

So yeah.

My mom comes in my room Saturday morning at 9 "Happy birthday ready to go shopping?"

"I need to sleep a little longer"

yeah I got up at 10 and went to rosedale with her and I felt/looked like death.

But by about 3PM, I was fine again.

We went to Kincaids and my whole famiy ended up being there, which was a surpirse.

My uncle gave me a really nice/unique gift. I think it is called a Thumby? It is a pendant with my dad’s thumbprint on it. My mom and I cried, but it was so nice-I had never seen/heard of such a thing before.

Then we just went home and it was all in all a good day. I am glad I was really hung over because I couldn’t really focus on my dad not being there-except at the restaurant when there was an empty chair next to mine.

So that was the birthday antics.

In other news-

I love my job an Dunn Bros. Really.

Everyone keeps telling me to quit nannying for Joanna, which I really should but don;t know if I can.

Tuesday the 15th is my parents 30th wedding anniversary. I am taking the day off and my mom is getting off early-we will go see my dad and then my brother and I are going to take her to Morton’s in mpls. going to be a hard day.

I want some coffee.
