My 5K is tomorrow, and my nerves have just started to get to me. I have never been determined to do this type of thing before. I guess that is my LACKING of AMBITION. just kidding. But I mean I actually trained for this..and it is finally time to prove I can do it. God I feel so lame. Most people are like "Wow, 3 miles is nothing.." But from a girl who used to get tired doing nothing..and hasnt really ran since her freshman year of HIGHSCHOOL..t is a big deal.
So last night my brother took me to open volleyball in Eagan, and man was it a blast. 3 straight hours of volleyball. I played so well, and realized how much I have missed playing. I even hit some pretty nice ones over. I mean I KILLED them. haha. I also met some of my brothers new teamates..all seem pretty cool. So this morning..well afternoon when I woke up, I was SO SORE! more so then every from running! My ass is sore, my back, my shoulders..man I forgot how good of a work out it can be when you play hard.
So just my mom and dad are coming tomorrow. They think it is a ‘neat deal’ (words from my dad) and really wanted to come watch us finish. I got my shirt made today! haha it says ‘FINNYME’ on the front (nickname) and ‘BRI THE TANK’ on the back because I am fat. JUST KIDDING. From Old School…get it? I like to do that impression when I am drunk. ha.
I leave for NY to visit my sister in like 20 days. It is crazy how fast time is going lately. I am so excited to see her!! And I think it will just be really fun in general. I mean, NY!!

My goal for time tomorrow is 30 mins. That is faster than I have been running..so it is a stretch, but hey, aim high, right? And I for sure do not want to stop running after tomorrow. My brother told me I should train for the marathon next summer. haha. Probably not..but I want to keep running 5Ks and see how good my times can get. So we’ll see. I will definitely need new shoes! my poor toes are getting blisters from my old ones. So I will just have to suck it up tomorrow. I just need to remember to keep a good pace. I know I am going to want to start off really fast, but I cannot burn myself out.
