Yeah, Whatever
I should have known that little bubble of people being happy for me at work wasn’t going to last. Today was hell. It was a cookie before 11 am day, as I posted on Facebook. I actually took a break away from my desk (*gasp*) and just sat in the cafeteria for a few minutes to try to calm myself down.
Thankfully, I left early because I had a doctor’s appointment this afternoon. Otherwise, I may have flipped my lid.
Three and a half more weeks. I just have to keep moving.
Speaking of doctor’s appointment, another silly observation from today – why are the podiatrists I choose always attractive? And this is sight unseen, mind you.
I’m sitting in the chair today, studying my ugly hobbit feet and wondering when the hell the doctor is going to stop talking to the drug representative and come see me. He walks in. I immediately curse my luck. There he is, super tall, super cute, and super, super sweet. And funny.
And wearing a wedding band.
And studying my ingrown toenail intently.
*shakes head*
Then, when he performed the minor surgery to remove it, he pulled out the toenail bit and showed me. "Geez, you weren’t kidding – this thing was really in there! Check it out!"
*facepalm*
Yeah. I went from a head shake to a facepalm.
That really describes the whole day pretty accurately.
So. I’m hanging out, bandaged foot, refusing to work and forcing myself to relax. So I can go and do it all again tomorrow. Minus hot podiatrist and toenail surgery (I hope).
I would have flipped out if he showed me that! ACK!!! I guess he just really enjoys his work, lol. I’m sorry things are crappy at work now. That’s not fair. Maybe it will get better or even out. *hugs*
Warning Comment
There must seriously be some unwritten rule that all podiatrists must be hot, because the guy I went to when I broke my foot was smoking. As luck would have it, my nail polish was all kinds of chipped and nasty that day. I hated having him so close to my scuzzy toes, lol

And here’s to hoping the last few weeks at this job pass swiftly and without too much stress going forward!
