Ahhh…

It is *so* nice to have a day off!

I slept until noon today after being out until 2 am. Sean and I went to karaoke at T’s, where we watched the Bruins game. Sean’s a life-long Bruins fan, so he was WOUND. But it was a great game, and a great time. I got to see a lot of people I haven’t seen in a long time.

After we left T’s, we went to Denny’s for a late-night snack. I remember vaguely that we had a very deep conversation about marriage and getting married, and I feel like a lot of good came of it. Sean isn’t ready to get engaged right now…and honestly, neither am I. I think that down the road it will be nice, but right now it’s great to just enjoy each other and our relationship. We have a lot of very fun things planned for the future, and getting married is kind of an afterthought. We both know that we do want it eventually…I think that’s something we both still struggle with. Sean has never felt the desire to be married before our relationship. I was terribly, horribly  broken from my previous marriage. It’s kind of terrifying to be feeling that way, and I think we both still need to come to terms with it before we’ll be ready.

But, I’m in no rush whatsoever. It’ll come when it comes.

I’ve been quite lazy so far today. Sean and I had lunch before he went off to work. I went to Target to pick up some fabric shears and found the perfect scrapbook for the project I’m doing for Sean’s mom. I sewed a patch into the pocket of a pair of jeans.  Now I’m bumming around, watching Supernatural while I write here. 🙂 I honestly think I might go take a nap in a few minutes; doing some lazy reading and then sleeping. We’re planning on going to the midnight showing of The Green Lantern tonight, so I’ll need my beauty rest. *laughs*

I think I’ll do some cleaning later today. It’s just so damn nice to not have anything really scheduled or urgent.

I think this was just what I needed.
