So. Everything was *finally* straightened out with my drug testing with K and I was able to start on Saturday!
Today, Monday, I am nearly done with the work that they wanted me to have completed by December 9th.
Soo…they’ve asked me to do more. And as a result, K is giving me a raise. It’s only about 70 cents an hour, but still…that adds up.
This contract runs until the end of January, and the facility will re-evaluate then. I haven’t really gotten a huge feel for anything yet, so I’m not sure if that will be a good or bad thing. I guess we will just have to see!
Otherwise, so far I’m really enjoying working from home full-time. I’m seeing Sean much more. I have time to do little things around the house that I was just too tired to do before. I even actually exercised tonight! I was only able to do about 13 minutes, but it was 13 minutes more than I had done the day before.
Baby steps.
I haven’t heard from Jim since I canceled on him. I didn’t really expect to. I’m glad I got some perspective and just let it go. It is a relief to have that weight lifted.
Sean and I bought wedding bands. We found a great deal. Mine, which is a very simple stainless steel band, was free with $5.00 shipping. Sean’s is titanium with a redwood inlay, and it was $10.00 with another small shipping fee. Altogether, our rings were about $17.00 Sweet!
I’m almost done with Christmas shopping, and I haven’t broken the bank! Our Halloween on Christmas party is also coming along. The tree is up. No ornaments…just lights, spiderwebs, plastic spiders, and a pirate skull with a sword in the eye as a tree topper. The gift boxes are also put together – funny ornaments, bubbles, plastic skull and crossbones shot glasses, and gummy organs. Hee.
I’m not sure when I became Suzy Homemaker and a party planner. But God it suits me. I love the intricacy and the details and putting my own flair on things. And I am pretty damn good at it. I throw a helluva party.
The fact that I have fantastic friends also helps the awesome parties. 🙂
I’m making new friends at every turn, too! I think I have more close friends than I ever have right now. Ken’s wife Jackie and I have been friendly for awhile, but we’re just starting to get around to knowing each other more and invites to hang out have been made. I also met Brittany through Jackie. Both of these ladies have the potential to become really good friends.
I’m in a really good place right now. Life is so calm and happy. I think I have finally found peace.
love this. and sweet on the weddings band price! i have a stainless steel band too, but i wasn’t crafty enough to get it for free!

That’s about how much our titanium wedding bands were plus we had them engraved as well. Apparently titanium lasts a lot longer than other types of metal and doesn’t tarnish. I love eBay. Where did you get yours?
