When I Wake
When I Wake
When I wake early morning,
and say farewell to the night
I put scraps of dream to music,
to see if they’ll take flight
The loved, lost, the lusted after,
to parties whom I owe
I confess my debts to the void,
when I’m heavy like wet snow
Enemies, friends, charlatans,
the faces I know well
Intersects at points,
where all have tasted hell
Aging; perhaps regressing,
hoping humanity all the same
Antidotes for our suffering,
requiem for our self-blame
Do not fathom fairness,
answers lay not in words
You’ve touched alpha and omega,
but see only her blur
Peace and Love
SNAP SNAP SNAP
Luved the read 🥰
