The Second Scariest Day of My Life Part II

Anyway, when Craig’s mom got there she went in the ambulance too. They came out & said they were gonna go to the hospital themselves b/c Craig wanted me to go. I was kinda dreading the thought of sitting in a waiting room w/ his parents, not knowing what’s going on, & no one talking (b/c Mark never talks) so I told Garrett he was coming with me & he said okay. We ran to collect the sleds & get them in my car. Well, Chad’s parents were in their van in front of us & then there was Craig’s van. I thought Chad’s family was going to the hospital too b/c his mom’s a nurse & they’re family, so we start following them. They had told us we were going to St. E’s so I’m thinking we’re heading downtown. Well then I see their van turn left, away from down town & get all confused. But then I see another van in front of Chad’s and go, oh that must be them, & continue following Chad’s family. Well we keep following them to Mahoning, going the opposite way from St. E’s. I thought maybe they changed their mind & were going to Austintown Ambulatory. Just then, Craig’s mom calls Garrett’s cell & asks if we’re still following them. We say no, we’re behind Chad. She says that they’re heading to Beagley & I realize that the 1st van I saw turn was them & Chad’s family isn’t going. So we hurry up & turn round & head to Boardman. On our way, they call again & say they’re going to St. E’s. So I go to turn round again, & then they say, on Mclurg. I didn’t know there was one there, but it’s nice. We get there & Craig’s still in the main waiting room. He asks again what happened b/c he can’t remember us telling him. He asks why I smell like smoke too b/c he forgot about standing by the fire & really couldn’t remember anything. He had lost his short term memory. Anyway, Garrett & I go to get sum food from the vending machines. When we get back, Craig is already getting looked at. His mom comes out a few minutes later & asks if I wanna come back to his exam room. Garrett thankfully came with me again. So we go back, & he’s watching Spike TV in his room. We were having fun actually. Well after a bit a Dr. comes in & takes him to get a CAT scan & X-ray of his hand. During that time I’m glad Garrett was there, b/c I didn’t feel like sitting there by myself & talking to Craig’s mom. After Craig got back we sat there for another hour or more, waiting for them to tell us the results. When the Dr. finally came back he said the CAT scan was all normal but he broke his right hand by his thumb. Luckily he writes left handed. Anyway, Garrett & I were thinking that we weren’t ready to go home yet so we mentioned the three of us going to a movie. It sounded cool to me so I ran out to my car to get a newspaper.
