Dogs and Thunder
It’s the day after Thanksgiving, and quite some time since I last posted. I am on day two of a four day weekend. Much needed.
First point of business: Our child is a boy. His name will be Cadence. Those of you who appreciate good Irish names will like it, those of you that don’t may pull your lower lip over your head and swallow.
We have ultrasounds, but I have yet to acquire a means to get them on to the net so it’ll be a while.
I am in college. I am going for Criminal Justice, but will likely change to business so I can go into marketing. I am currently in the last week of my first block.
I have been writing songs again. My manager at work saw one, and wants to teach me to play guitar so I can actually make something more of them.
I played Oblivion today, for the first time in what I thought was two weeks. Turns out it’s been a month, by my wife’s estimate. I have no comcept of time at this job. I had a terrible month for November, the worst month I’ve ever had. December will be better. I will make sure of it.
We got a dog. His name is Max, and he is a Chihuahua-Terrier mix. I find him ridiculously cute and obnoxious all at the same time. He is the Woody Allen of dogs, I swear. He’s just so freaking neurotic. He doesn’t bark under most circumstances, but if he’s left alone too long he makes sounds as though he’s being killed slowly by something pointy.
Shasta is doing alright. She isn’t as insanely ill as she was, but now she’s experiencing the stretching of muscles around the baby, amking her very uncomfortable. She wants a part-time job, as being at home is bothering the hell out of her.
Everything else is relatively generic. I imagine I will remember more details as the weekend continues.
I’m so glad to hear shasta isn’t terribly ill anymore. I was thinking about you guys the other day hoping everything was going alright with the pregnancy and everything. I’m so excited for you 🙂 You’re in college, that’s wonderful! Give Max a kiss from me because he sounds adorable. And tell Shasta I hope she’s feeling alright and uh… did I miss anything? Good lukc learning to play the guitar!
