A Rant. (Black TV Channels)

Okay, so this one’s gonna get me flamed for sure, but at least that’ll help me figure out more of the people on this earth who aren’t invited to any of my parties. Birthday or otherwise.

I was watching Starz the other day, and it was between movies, so the ads were on. Suddenly out of nowhere they’re advertising ‘Starz In Black’. Nothing but ‘Black friendly television’! What in the blue hell is this? Black friendly? Now, I must digress a moment to let you all know I am not a racist. I totally support the latino channels, the french channels(maybe not, actually. The french are evil.) I support all ethnic channels that are of a different language.

BLACK PEOPLE SPEAK THE LANGUAGE OF THE COUNTRY THEY’RE IN!!

Black people are the EXACT same damn thing as white people! We go everywhere, and speak every language! Why do black people get special treatment? Maybe because they were enslaved by my white ignorant ancestors. I don’t care. Suck it up and be a man. It’s over. Are you a slave now? Wait…you are. You’re enslaved by the islamic(or muslim, can’t tell between them) black culture that believes blacks should go back to Mother Africa and live separate from whites. Now, who else do I know who believes that exact same way? Maybe the KKK? Yep, you got it. The KKK and the Nation Of Islam are going for the same goal. To segregate. So…who’s crying racist here, and who is the slave driver?

Black people out there, whether you’re from Africa, Jamaica, Christmas frickin’ Island for all I care…You’re still the same as me. Big White Me. You either speak english or you don’t. I do. Do you? No? Then have your own channel in your own language. But if you do speak english, black man…Then watch the same damn channels everyone else is watching.

Or, let me make a few white people-specific channels, and don’t cry racism when they appear on YOUR TV. ‘Cause your black channels sure as hell show up on mine. I’ll even admit I’ve watched the occasional BET comedy hour. I’d probably watch more BET if I liked shitty rap. But I don’t, so I don’t. That’s another thing. Wasn’t it Bob Marley who said “Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery”? I have yet to see much on those black channels other than ignorant ‘gangsta rap’ and shows about black people trying to be funny. Gangsta rap’s time ratio one those channels seems to be 90 percent. I have yet to see someone become educated and emancipated by hearing about bitches and guns all day.

Spike Lee is an educated man. Strikes me as a bit of a racist, but he is an educated man. I would love to see his reaction to all these channels that already exist and the new ones that are popping up yearly. I bet he thinks it’s all drivel. I bet he thinks it’s bringing his people down. I sure as hell think it is. I also notice that some styles are considered ‘black’. They usually involve dressing badly and your belt going around your knees. And any black person who tries to be respectable, especially in the hood(and loyal readers know I lived there all my life), is told by his homies that he’s being ‘white’.

I just don’t get it. Why all of this segregation? Why are blacks and the KKK fighting for the same cause? Why can’t we just get along and eradicate the real enemies? People who try to destroy true freedom? People who live for war? Let’s fight them instead of each other.

Black, White…at least it’s not french.
