The Cure

       So I saw the nurse practitioner today. She gave me the results and answered my questions and then told me what I would have to do next.  I DO have Dysplasia, and I contracted it from the newly discovered HPV.  Which is only transfered sexually, and since FRank is the only person I have ever had sex with, looks like he’s the culprit. But HPV is pretty new, and I have done research on it and found the virus can be "silent" for a long time before making it’s presence known. So I guess Frank was right in assuming that he had the virus before he met me and then "gave me the gift that keeps on giving." I trust that he hasn’t cheated. It is something that isn’t found until abnormal cells start forming. And most of the time the virus just goes away on it’s own and you never even know you’ve had it. He feels responsible anyway and keeps talking about paying for the doctor stuff since I have no insurance. But I didn’t have sex by myself, I took the same risk he did so I am just as much to blame.

    The practitioner told me I’d have to go see a Gyno and they will either tell me to wait and see if it goes away, or, they will treat it. But the dysplasia is mild, not even moderate or severe. And she told me its a very SLOW virus. That it takes years and years and years to develope into anything. But to take care of it now so I won’t have to later. Which of course, makes sense. The thing about Frank is that HPV can’t be detected in males unless warts break out. And that there is no cure or treatment for males.  After the first of the year the clinic I go to is getting a vaccine for HPV that causes cervical cancer. So after I get the dysplasia cleared up, I can get that shot and be immune from cervical cancer. (Like polio and chicken pox.) Which is good for me. lol, if they can’t cure men, at least with that vaccine if I have sex with Frank I won’t have to worry! (About hpv/cervical cancer I mean.)

     But I am very greatful he didn’t make this a "Hanna" problem. That he recognizes that he probably passed it on to me. (He was sexually active before we met, of course.) I am also glad he is so supportive of it all. I know he feels bad, like he caused this. I tried my best to reassure him though.  He’s going to make an appointment when he goes back home to see his doctor and make sure everything is clear down there. lol. I guess anyway. He said he was going to make an appointment anyway.   I am definately not weirded out, or freaked out, or anything like that. I want it taken care of ASAP, but I am not all that upset about it. It’s no tlike he gave me herpes, or gananorheia or syphillis you know? Which is a sure sign he’s been sticking his Johnson some where that isn’t labeled "Hanna" lol. I’d be super upset if it were any of those.

      Over the weekend I cut my long long long hair about three inches. So it went from right at the top of my bum to just below my shoulders. But it feels nice and healthy now, so I don’t mind that she cut more than I told her to. I also dyed it back to my origional color because I am tired of keeping up with the roots haha. But I realize I like myself better with my natural color than the color I lightened it to before. I will have it trimmed again right before my trip so it’s nice and freshly cut. =)

     Frank is showing so much excitement. More than I have ever seen him show.  He has also been more attentive and loving lately. Like, ever since the trip was finalized. I certainly don’t mind though. Anyway, I just thought I would update the circumstances. Stress the importance of yearly pap tests to all those women out there, lol. GET THEM. To top everything off, I can’t shake the cold I have 🙁   

1 Week of classes left. 3 Days of finals.
And 3 weeks until I leave for Prague!!!! 😀
