Barstool Hell Rider

Don’t you ever wonder
   what hides behind your lies,
slipping from the door too soon
   using work as your disguise.
gatherings are too much for you
as anxiety bubbles in your veins
sipping the rum and coke seems to make it go away
as you speed through life only seeing blurry lanes.
ride that bike as fast as you can son
but those golden wings will follow you,
that soft purring of the chrome beast
is reality catching up with you soon.
your intoxicated tears want companion
   because misery loves company
that bottom of the glass may seem clear to you now
but its whats inside you dont see.
those big calloused hands collided with unconciousness
   to some unsuspecting, undeserving stranger
now they constantly aid in flushing down
   the horrid memories and anger.
Have another drink on me son,
    it will numbe the pain
for now, then maybe after this last shot
you can climb into the grave you have made.
Fall asleep to rumbling purr
of your past, as it catches up to whats behind your eyes
and hopefully you can find some sanity
in the comfort zone, of your pathological lies.
