You Came To Take Us, All Things Go, All Things Go.
Do you ever feel as though life is being absurdly good to you when you don’t deserve it?
I do. The only parts of life that are not going as hoped are things with my family. Other than them, things are pretty much the way I want them to be…
Anyways, I spent the day:
– sleeping until 11
– eating soggy shreddies so that I wouldn’t have shreddies stuck all in my teeth
– showering so Erik could take me places so that I wouldn’t go bonkers at home another day
– getting picked up and taken to Old Navy (where I purchased a pair of deliciously comfortable sweatpants and two pairs of flipflop sandals)
– adventuring to Best Buy, Future Shop and JB’s Power Centre in search of speakers for Erik’s car
– finding out we’re going to Erik’s grandmother’s 80th birthday party, going to his house so he could change, and venturing to said grandmother’s house
– meeting his grandparents, aunts and several random people who spoke lots of Finnish, and also, eating many cupcakes and tasty bread/cake something
– coming back to Erik’s house at 8.30 or so and watching/faux-assisting as he installs new speakers
And that’s pretty much it. I’m still at his place, in the garage with him, on their marvelous wireless internet, writing emails to my sister and writing this. I’ve eaten WAY too much bad stuff today (2 donuts, 4 cupcakes, and other things I can’t currently remember.
Anyways, I think Erik is going to take me home pretty soon, which is a good plan, since I work at 7.30 and have to leave the house by 6.30 because my mother sucks and works at 7. Oh well, whatever. I hope your day was as good as mine…
