There Must Be An Angel With A Smile On Her Face…
So, I’m at Erik’s house. He’s fixing something with their network or blahblahblah, and I’m chilling, playing around on his computer and being a loser. He and I have done something Saturday, Sunday and Monday (today), which isn’t bad, just strange. Usually I only get to see him twice a week, and this is three times. Honestly, it’s nice. Saturday, I met him after he got off work at East Side Mario’s for dinner (which was pretty good, but dessert was EPIC), and then we came back to his house and his dad let me pick the movie for the night.
(Side note: Erik’s family owns about 700 or so movies, so it’s not exactly the easiest thing in the world to pick one from all of them.)
We ended up watching the Rocky Horror Picture Show, which both Erik and his brother Chris hadn’t seen in full. It was awesome. I sang along for most of the movie, and had a joyful time. Eventually, I got driven home and that was the end of Saturday. Erik had mentioned that we’d been invited to a birthday thing for his friend and his friend’s fiance on Sunday night, so we went to that. Stayed there until about two in the morning. When we walked back to Erik’s house, I realized that – stupidly, because I’m me, and I’m stupid – I’d managed to lose my key in Mike and Rilla’s (Erik’s friend and his fiance) couch. So we drove back there, and Mike had found the key (thank sweet, merciful Jeebus) and was waiting for us at the curb with it. And then Erik took me home. And proceeded to fall headfirst into my lap and doze off for about half an hour.
Which was fucking adorable. It really was, honestly, the sweetest thing I’ve seen in a while. He was just so tired.
Anyways, now I’m at his house. I talked to him around 3 this afternoon and told him how desperately bored I was at home, and he inadvertently invited me over. Took the bus, which took about an hour and I had music and it was peaceful… But it’s really warm today, so I’m all sticky and damp and mildly awkward.
Right, Erik says that he’d seen RHPS before, but didn’t remember the ending. There we go. Straightened that out. Apparently the friend of his that we’re staying with in Vancouver, Staci, made him watch it on a 20 inch TV. As compared to the other night, on his 52 inch widescreen TV. Yeah. Take that.
Anyways, like I said, I’m here now, listening to random music and Erik is half-watching-me and half-putting together the cheapest but most awesome magazine holder boxes from Ikea, that he got for 12.5 cents each.
So, I’m gonna go while he’s telling me about something to do with his car. And relax a bunch…
