Oh, Ontario! Oh, Jennifer Jason Leigh!

Erik is supposed to be working on his resume. Instead, I am watching him delete piles of stuff (2.26 GB worth of stuff) from his computer. I am enthralled. En. Thralled.

Anyways, yeah, I’m not much in the way of an exciting person, but I suppose I’ve got a few bits of news I can share, while I’ve got the time.

I don’t remember the last time I updated, aside from last weekend’s blip on the radar of update-age and shite, so we’ll say it was sometime in the summer and go from there.

Ooooh, let’s go by month and see what I can do with that…

June: Got temporary position at Castledowns lab, doing the same thing I’d been doing for 3 months before that point, except with more stability (which is to say: I don’t have to move between different labs, unless they’re fucking desperate). Happy with boy.
July: Work, work, work. Have fun with boy and his family, often. Instigate dissention among ranks at home (aunt is evil, mother less so, me evil beyond belief!). Joy and happiness (both real and sarcastic).
August: Work bunches to save monies. Dream about moving out and start looking at apartments without any real commitment to the idea of moving out… Dream about it some more. Hope and pray that maybe one day I can. Road trip! 8 days in car and hostels and tents and hotel rooms and friend’s bed, alone with Erik, with music and laughter and so many pictures and good times had by all.
September: Boy back in school for Victory Lap and insanity. Working regular hours, but going bonkers because of all the changes the company is creating.
October: 21st birthday! Work, work, go to bed late, wake up early, work, eat, nap, movie, eat, blahblahblah, same old same old, except boy comes over Tuesdays for dinner and kisses and movies and joy. Also, tickling.
November: Shalalalalala, same old.
December: Shalalalalala, same old. Christmas. Kisses, dinners, family, declarations of love at 2 am and me being weird as always. Erik writes finals before Christmas, graduates, gets an Iron Ring (it’s an engineer thing. I think).
January: Shalalalalala, same old. HATE WORK. Develop passionate love for all things baked and food blogs and cookbooks.
February: HATE. WORK. Want work (and often also family) to burn up and blow away forever. Valentine’s Day, ensuing with chocolate cake, Chinese food, kisses, more declarations (albeit written) of love. He loves me. He loves ME. He LOVES me. HE. Loves. Me. ????

Essentially, this is my life. It’s good, it could be better. But I’ve got a boy and a family and life and cat and I want to move but don’t have the money, but one day I will and I’ll go to baking school and get a job at a bakery, or open my own, and have kisses and love.

Works for me.

Oh, I’m not mad at the person who stabbed me with the needle. She was nice. But still. I wanted to cry and I don’t cry. And it still sucked. But I don’t blame the person stabbing me.

Oh! Hooray! You’re the person from Canada I didn’t know who ordered an apron from me!! I just shipped it yesterday morning! (I had to wait for the paypal payment to go through). I hope that when you get it you LOVE IT! Let me know how you like it.

RYN: No, it was just OVER maple syrup. It didn’t actually leave the plate.

Oh my! I’m so glad you love it! Will you pretty please leave me feedback on my Etsy page?? They are really fun to wear so I am sure you’ll have a great time baking! 🙂

RYN: Oh good! Thanks so much!!

Oh man, I’ve tried Tea Tree oil! It doesn’t work much better than anything else for these unfortunately.

Also, I’m so glad you love your apron! And why haven’t you written since Feb. 15th?

RYN: Oh yes, sometimes family just gets in the way of everything. I feel your pain. <3

No, we haven’t found Mint yet 🙁 One of the neighbors called today saying he thought Mint was in their back yard. I went and checked and it was very similar, but not the same cat. 🙁 He was very friendly though, but we suspect he is a stray or has lost his way home also. Anyway, thanks for the luck. I will be sure to update when/if we find him.

Also, I TOTALLY want to adopt another cat, but can’t until I don’t live with this current roommate anymore. Four cats in one house would be WAY too many. So, go you for adopting a kitty in the future! You have my full support!
