I Want A Girl With Uninterrupted Prosperity…

I grew flowers.  In a pot, in the living room window.  Paperwhites.  They smelled really strong, heady like lilies and overwhelmingly strong.  My family asked me to move them downstairs to my room, so I did.  I put them on my dresser, which gets no sunlight, and I forgot to water them.

For the first couple weeks they were down here, they smelled even stronger than when they were upstairs.  They grew like crazy the week after I planted them.  Over 6 inches in a week.

It’s dead now, but it smelled so strong that I kind of don’t mind, which makes me a really bad PlantMom.

They were so pretty.  If only they didn’t smell so strongly of lilies (which I really hate, except for calla lilies), I wouldn’t have let them just die.  But I did.  And if it ever stops snowing and melting and snowing and melting over and over, we could start gardening and I could toss them with all the stuff we’re not keeping.

In the meantime, the paperwhites are dying, and it’s 6.16 am.  Bedtime anyone?
