I Never Knew A Home, Until I Felt Your Hands…

I’m at the library, breathing deeply and loving books and air. The weather in Edmonton is shit – all this weekend it’s supposed to be rainy and blech-tastic and Monday (a holiday in Alberta) is supposed to be nice. I work Monday.

I should tell you about how I had an interview yesterday. And how it went pretty well (I think – I hope). It was for a job at the same company, only downtown, and instead of doing labwork, I’d be working in an incoming call centre, booking appointments for drug screening tests for company workers. It could be worse. The pay is a bit of a step down, but I’d be making more anyways, since it’s 35 hours a week and I’m only working 22.5 a week right now. It’s a team of 4 people (5 when they hire someone else, hopefully me), which actually sounds nice. They say it gets pretty busy, but that’s fine. Apparently everyone takes about 55 calls or so a day, which works out to about 8 calls an hour in a 7 hour shift (not counting breaks and lunch). Keeps me from getting bored.

I’m actually really hoping I get this one. The people I interviewed with were really awesome, too. Very friendly and they were able to answer all my questions. Also, I kicked interview-ass; I answered all the questions quickly and concisely, and didn’t even say "uhm" too many times. Three or four, which is pretty good for me.

Anyways. After my interview, I went and bought some hot new underwear, which I’m going to surprise Erik with later (whoo!).

Other than all that… I don’t really have anything exciting to say. I’m listening to the Juno soundtrack, and Stars, and it’s oddly warm where I’m sitting in the library. Better than it being chilly though. Anyways, I’ve got half an hour until I have to catch a train and then I’ll be at Erik’s.
