I Am A Butterfly, But You Wouldn’t Let Me Die…

I am at a boy’s house.  He’s got a Wii and we’re exploring it.  I’m on his laptop.

We watched Serenity and ate cookies and curled up on his couch.  He just said that the first line of this entry sounds really wrong.  But it’s not, really.  It’s totally innocent.

I took the bus to meet him at the bus place near his house and it didn’t take nearly as long as it felt it did.  But I had SoCo music to make me smile through the ride.  I don’t really know what else to say now.  He’s watching me type this, which doesn’t bother me nearly as much as it should, I think.  Anyway, I think we’re going to play Wii bowling or golf or something.  This has been a freaking awesome afternoon.  His mom made dinner and she’s really super nice.  I brought chocolate chip cookies that I made yesterday and they turned out pretty perfectly and Erik’s mom made roast beef and baked potatoes for dinner and it was pretty tasty.  But I’ve got to say that it’s pretty much the strangest thing in the world to eat dinner with boys (who are really men, not boys) and their mother, who is totally great.  Really.

I’ve never eaten dinner in the company of guys, so that was a new experience for me.  Anyways, we’re golfing now, and I’m one under par, which makes me more fabulous than I knew I could be, which in turn makes me quite pleased with life.

I’ll have to try to remember to call Cindy when I get home, because she wants to hear about Erik and how nice he was to me and then she wants to tell me how I deserve it.  She said all that in her email earlier today.  She’s so freaking sweet.  I seriously love that girl more than I can tell anyone.

I kind of think she’s the best friend I never had before, and I really like having someone I can talk to about all that stuff with Aaron, and she knows about Marc and Vancouver and that hell and last Saturday we had a girl-get-together and cried and ate a shocking amount of chocolate and called Cecile in Rimbey.  I’d forgotten how much I missed Cecile until I heard her voice.

He’s so nice.  So so so so so nice.  And he’s friendly and he’s funny and he’s sweet and he’s got a really cute dog and a really sweet mom and a pretty crazy dad and brother and I’m up for my third stroke so I have to go now.
