I filled out the paperwork and tried to offer the government its money back, and Uncle Sam told me, “No, thanks. You keep it for now.”

I scratched my head and settled in for another year of enjoying $0 payments per month on my student loans.

I guess I’ll start saving for a house.

Conversely, they keep taking bits of my Student loan back without asking or even informing me that they intend to, out of my monthly pay checks before the pay even reaches me (who told them where I work?)
