Welcome 2007!

My New Year’s Eve was fairly uneventful, I played Scrabble with Matt and had season 2 of Dawson’s Creek going on in the background until Matt begged me to turn it off.  🙂  We kissed in the kitchen at midnight, a silly and somewhat sloppy kiss that tasted of Crest Toothpaste(as Matt had just brushed his teeth) and I loved that I was at home, safe, happy and with the man that I love.  We were uncorking a bottle of champagne that we never toasted with, simply drank, and then Matt was off to bed as he had to work this morning.  I slept fairly late today and am now enjoying a mimosa(probably a little too much) and am happy that it is a new year with new possibilities.

I admit…I was somewhat disappointed I didn’t wake to any drunken voicemails or texts this morning.  I was either forgotten or everyone else had a pretty uneventful night too.  🙂

The first super exciting thing for this year is my interview on Thursday!  I need to study a wee bit just to make sure that it is "in the bag".  I tend to crash and burn in the interview process which stinks but what else can I do?  I know I can do anything I put my mind to so I just need to put my mind to getting this promotion!  I will prevail.
