to fool or not to fool

What is the story behind April Fool’s Day?  How did it get started?  I guess if I was ever told I’ve forgotten because I really have no idea how or why this day came about.  Thus far no pranks have been played on me and I don’t intend on fooling any of the Gullible Gus’ out there.

My cousin is supposed to find out what the sex of baby number 2 is today!  I should give her a call later to see if anything was conclusive.  Carleigh is having her 1st birthday party this weekend on Saturday but I’m not sure if I will be going yet or not.  It’d be nice to drive down to see everyone but a 4 hour drive after working 12 hours seems pretty impossible without me falling asleep.  I guess we’ll see.

It’s been beautiful outside today, in the upper 70’s and a bit breezy.  Matt and Scott are off riding their motorcycles, taking advantage of the weather.  I am feeling a little bit left out but will be able to join them soon enough.  Hopefully, anyway.

I’ve been doing laundry and lounging around the apartment, wasting the day.  I should go out shopping for some riding boots but I don’t really feel like going alone.  It is times like these I miss living near my sisters or some close girlfriends.

Watched I Am Legend last night.  It was alright, the ending wasn’t as happy as it could’ve been.  Overall I feel like the movie was just lacking.  I guess I’d watch it again sometime, although I was creeped out and afraid to walk around the apartment once the movie was over.  Matt and Widget were both asleep so it was super quiet.  The natural creaks and cracks of the apartment became more apparent than they’ve ever been, causing me to check behind the shower curtain before I used the bathroom.  So silly.

Hmm not much else going on with me.  Booked my flight home for $279 roundtrip(not bad), got my rental car squared away and now May 7th just needs to get here.  I’m not going to be in AZ for very long, flying out late into Las Vegas on the 7th, driving home to K-Town(boy, I hope the dam is open this time…), hanging on on Thursday, driving up to Flag on Friday, coming back to K-Town on Sunday and leaving to come back home Monday night.  Matt’s leaving on the 10th to go to Holland so I gotta get back to make sure the Widgemon is okay.  I’m happy to be going home, just wish it was for a little bit longer.

Stupid DQ commercials keep coming on the TV.  I’m dying for a Blizzard!

Alright I am out of here.  Go by and check out Google’s joke, it’s silly.  🙂  Later taters!

OMG! I have the same problem…I keep seeing those farking commercials and now I CRAVE a blizzard. And the closest DQ is an hour away and is closed by the time my hubby could go for me…so poo! <3

I’m so jealous of that nice weather!!! It was high 40s and cloudy all day. Blech.

I love ice cream too. When I’m at Ryan’s and we ever go into the big town nearby for something, we always pass the same DQ. So naturally we get it probably once a week. Totally not good for me, but oh so delicious.

I hate the DQ commercials too! They make me want one of those brownie/chocolate covered peanut blizzards… damn them! Lucky you with the upper 70s weather. *sigh* I can’t wait for spring/summer to get here. The cold is driving me nuts.

I liked I Am Legend. I thought it was pretty good, although a little strange in some parts…..I admit. I wasn’t thrilled with the ending. I felt it could have been better….

Let me know if you have time to get together for a drink or something when you are in AZ!!! 😉

RYN: I think that’s what it is. I never bonded with that side of the family well. And with my Grandmaw being the way she is, I’ve pulled away further. But you’re right… He doesn’t deserve to suffer. He’s such a sweet man.

Your trip home will be nice and something to look forward to at least! Is your motorcycle class before or after that? I kind of felt the same way about I Am Legend. The zombies were a bit freaky [never want to deal with those!]. I thought it was well done, but not the type of movie that I could watch over and over again. Ashley

i still want to watch that damn movie. i feel out of the loop.

i’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about i am legend. i haven’t seen it yet though because i’m so not a will smith fan. there’s something about him that irks the crap out of me. yum, blizzards. we don’t have any DQ’s around here. isn’t that crazy?! xo
