sunday rambles

 So storybook but I got this little plaque from Target to hang above our kitchen window that says "And they lived happily ever after…"  I hope that Matt likes it.  🙂  I sent him an e-mail w/ the picture attached but no idea when he’ll log in to check his e-mail.  I also got a cute pair of PJ’s from Target and new deep red colored pot holders and towels for the kitchen.  I also went to Yankee Candle since Matt gave me a gift card for Christmas(very thoughtful of him even though I know he thinks I have WAY too many tarts) and bought a few things there.  I didn’t get a lot because I wasn’t aware of ALL of the Christmas tarts being on sale, nor the car air fresheners but they were!  I will go back tomorrow and get a few more things.  I love their Christmas smells SO much.

Tomorrow I will also head to Best Buy to spend the gift card that my boss got me for Christmas.  🙂  My team and I pooled together and got Gabe 2 gift cards, 1 to Starbucks for $25 and an iTunes gift card for $25.  He got all of us $25 gift cards which made me feel bad that we only got him $50 combined.  Ah well I know he appreciated it anyway.  Last night after work I stopped at Harris Teeter on my way home and ran into him coming into the store at the same time.  I teased that he was following me and being a creeper, haha.

Speaking of Christmas, Matt called me around 9PM that night to wish me a Merry Christmas and to chat for a few minutes.  He beckoned his niece Peyton over to him and gave her the phone.  She then sang "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and I about died from how cute it was.  Once Matt was back on the phone I was like I want a baby right NOW.  Haha.  🙂

Wow the Broncos just scored 14 points in the past few minutes of the game and actually have a chance and winning now!  The Cardinals just intercepted the ball from the Rams and will hopefully score again.  i am confident in a Cards win tonight though!  It would be awesome if we could make it to the Super Bowl again this year.  We’ll see!

Oh!  We got our sectional finally!  It is very soft and comfortable, I like it very much.  I’m currently on the hunt for some good throw pillows and waiting on this (opens in a new window) rug to arrive.  We got the mid-sized rug to just sit in the middle of the living room under the coffee table.  Should tie in the other colors around here, I hope.  We’re still looking for a dining room table and chairs…  We have a general idea of what we want(glass top table w/ wood framing and chairs) but looking around for a good bargain.  If anyone has any suggestions I am open to them…  🙂

I also sent out some of my Christmas cards!  The rest of them will be mailed out tomorrow.  I apologize for how tardy they are this year – such is life I suppose.

There is a HUGE fly buzzing around the house.  Where do these things come from in the dead of winter?!  Widget is busy chasing it around, at least it is keeping him busy.
