peter party pooper

Sunday morning after work I hit up breakfast with my engineering/tech team from work.  None of us realized that it was Mother’s Day so the place was unusually packed, I think the restraunt cringes when they see us come in on Sat/Sun mornings due to the size of the party, it’s generally around 13 people.  Somehow one half of our table got food before the other because another table’s ticket got stuck between the two halves.  So this made for a late exit on our parts, around 8:45AM.  By this time the place was super packed and they were taking names for table availability and calling them out as tables became open.  All of us are standing in line waiting to pay our bills when the manager annouces over the loudspeaker "Could the leader of the Peter Party please come to the podium?  Your table is ready."  Thus ensues much laughter, mostly eminating from us possibly because it was bedtime and all of us are a little bit punchy by that point, but I think the whole place got a chuckle out of that one.

Went to Denny’s around 2AM last night for some food as not much else was open and Matt and I were starving by that point.  Ordered a burger and the waitress was new and couldn’t find a regular hamburger on the menu(because it’s not there really, just under the cheeseburger it says without cheese and lists the price).  She comes back and I tell her to tell the cooks a cheeseburger with out cheese.  She was a little ditzy but really nice so I didn’t hold it against her.  Oh, people…  🙂

Matt had a hell of a time changing out my oil filter last night.  The last person who worked on my car apparently screwed the thing on there way too tight.  He didn’t start the oil changing adventure until after 10PM last night(shush, we’re secretly vampires) so by the time he realized my car was going to be an issue our Wal*Mart had already closed(he needed a big ol’ wrench).  We drove out to the Wal*Mart in Woodbridge since it was the closest 24 hour store.  I found some nice 400 thread count cotten sheets for summertime use for $55, not bad.  I washed them but haven’t put them on the bed yet, putting off doing my chores right now.  Anywho, we had our Denny’s adventure and then came back home so Matt cound conquer my car.  He eventually jacked the car up to get under it and finally finished the job.  I felt really bad, I had intentions of him teaching me how to change the oil and filter so I could do that for myself in the future but it just didn’t work out that way.  I’m thankful he’s so handy though.  🙂

Hopefully going to find a nice beach to hang out on tomorrow.  Rich told me about one that is relatively close to here(not the actual ocean though) that has nice sand and is clean.  Maybe we’ll fly over there tomorrow.  🙂  Matt’s out flying right now, I decided to stay home and just chill out.  I need to clean and go to Wal*Mart(forgot kitty litter) among other things.  Instead I am chatting with Jen and writing in OD.  I love me some weekend time!  I do need to hit up work at some point this weekend, need to get some documents re-written.   We decided just to split up the remaining tool sets per person instead of breaking up the individual tool specs per person.  This probably makes no sense.  I got a tool set that runs auto but I am looking forward to it as I am going to be able to learn more about the process that the tool does.  But the idea of going into work is really blah even if I will only be sitting at a computer for a few hours.  I wish we had internet access there, it would make work that much more enjoyable!

Well I guess I am done rambling.  Later taters!

RYN: My mom is 4’10, I believe. She has to buy GIRLS jeans because the length of everything else doesn’t fit. And even in the girl’s jeans, she has to hem the bottom. And I did get leid a lot! I was exhausted and breathless afterwards. 😉

Vampires?! Yikes! LOL I LOVE me some 400+ thread count sheets… for Christmas Justin found me a 1200 set for $100!! Can you believe that?! We haven’t used them since Nate arrived since he likes to spit up and whatnot unexpectedly… so I guess I can’t try ’em out until Nate can sleep through the night in his crib…

I totally knew you were a vampire. I’ll be swinging by on my drive to NC and hunting you, a la Buffy the Vampire Slayer. You have been forewarned. Flee now.

Peter Party! LMAO! that is classic! I hate when the oil filter is on too tight like that. WE got a guy at work who loves to do that. Tell Matt he should get a filter tool called the claw. It goes on a ratchet and it works on everything.
