oh fuuuuuuuudge.

As always can’t seem to sleep when I should be sleeping!  Oh well, I have 3 more days off to catch up on it.  🙂  Just happy it is the weekend!

I made fudge on Friday morning and took it into work Friday night.  I covered the top of the fudge pan with tin foil and on top of it wrote "Oh fuuuuuudge…"  I am still wondering if anyone actually got it.  All in all though the fudge was a hit!  I wish I could cook as well as I can bake and make sweet treats…  I’m really happy that everyone liked it so much though, I love making people happy!

Not sure what Matt and I are going to do today.  He asked me if I wanted to go out to the hanger with him and help him change the oil in his plane and work on his motorcycle.  I think that if he does wind up doing that I will go with him.  I have plans to do some shopping sometime this weekend since I have a couple of gift cards and need to get presents for friends and such.  Yeah, I’m late with the gifts but oh well it keeps the Christmas cheer going on longer.  At least Stephanie understands and agrees with me on that.  Hehehehe.

I really need to clean up this place…it’s a mess!  I cleaned the bathroom already and now I need to go through all of the junk mail I’ve accumulated and just organize some of my crap around the house.  I need to pick up the bedroom and re-organize my clothes too.  I am going to try to be more organized next year since I get so frustrated with myself when I let things become this messy.  Bah.

Last night Matt and I drove out to Ned Devine’s to get some dinner and watch the game.  We get there and it is PACKED.  Go into the door and it’s a $5 cover!  LAME.  It’s a frigging restraurant/pub type place, not a club!  Matt and I turned around and wound up going to Applebee’s which was fine with me.  Had a beer and dinner, Matt’s Bruschetta Burger was lacking  in the presentation(ie the bruschetta was all stuck on one side, the cheese was still cold and not melted, fries were super greasy) so when the manager came by to ask us how it was going Matt was honest with him.  He bought us a dessert on him(so nice, he really didn’t need to do that…it’s not like one time is going to stop us from never going back there) which was pretty good.  It was that Death By Chocolate brownie thingy.  I was STUFFED.  Watched the Giants vs. Patriots and was impressed at how well the Giants played.  But in the end the Pats got their perfect regular season which in its own is well deserved.  I’m still not a huge fan of that team though.

I got my Christmas gift from Tammy yesterday!  She got me the PostSecret "A Lifetime of Secrets" book.  Woo-hoo!  I really do love the idea and concept of the whole project and how it’s really taken off.  I visit their website every Sunday and read all of the new secrets.  Sometimes I read things I really identify with and it makes me feel less lonely just knowing someone else out there feels that way too.  I find it very comforting.  Some of the world’s secrets make me laugh, some make me cry, some make me sick.  Some of them I know all too well and I wonder if I know who sent it in.

La la la.  I guess I’m done for now.  Have a great day, taters!

I stopped for gas yesterday, thinking I was in PA – but I ended up being in enemy territory – NJ. I had my Pats hat on, and someone stopped me. Turned out that it was a couple driving back to MA from NC, and we had a nice little chat about the (at that point) upcoming game. It *was* a good game! I’m glad that they won (obviously), but I’m glad it was a close game. When I got in last night, around 10 pm – they were losing! EEK. And – don’t you know? Junk mail frolics and multiplies when left to its own devices. 😉 I have a ton of shopping left to do.

i hope you like it… i am teetering on asking you to bring it when you do some see me….i wanted to look thru it after looking at it on amazon 😀 i didnt realize there is already FOUR of the books out! crazy! you have made me want fudge so bad the last few days… but no more desserts in this house for a while! but if you wanted to pass along your recipe … i could atleast look at therecipe? 😀

Hurrah for Christmas in January! 😀 I got you A Small Thing already, I just have to get your Main Thing. And then I have to get moving on your birthday! I saw yo’ sistah yesterday. The one who is likely to be at my work, not the one who isn’t. She told me about Pete moving up here. Charley’s (here in Downtown Flag, dunno if you ever went there) charges a cover half the time. It’s stupid. That’s part of the reason I could never understand why that old crowd I hung around with wanted to go there all the time.

RYN: We figured it’d be much easier to spend that amount of money on exactly what we wanted. No use us both trying to surprise each other with something expensive. You know? 😛 Yea… I’m bummed that it’s a guy thing. But… Since Denis’ girlfriend is here we may go out to the mall for something to do. 🙂
