NYC soon.

So far Steph’s visit has been fun!  At least I hope that it has been for her, I’ve had fun anyway.  🙂

Heading up to NYC until Thursday so I won’t be around much until then.  I go back to work for one night and then I’m off for three more days and it is back to the grind from that point on.  Being on vacation has been amazing…do I really have to go back to work and be a grown up?!

Kind of worried about Widget, he’s going to be here alone for the next few days.  I know he’ll be fine, I’ve just never left him alone for more than a day before.  I’ve asked a couple of people to watch him but they were either going out of town themselves or never responded.  But whatever, I’m just being a mom about it I guess.

Finally got to see the Atlantic Ocean yesterday!  We went up to Deleware(had never been there before) which was actually a pretty nice drive.  The scenery was nice and traffic was going pretty smoothly.  On the Atlantic: seems much saltier than the Pacific and not nearly as wave-y!  Maybe it was just the beach we were at though.  It was fun anyway.

What else, what else…

Saw HP and the Order of the Phoenix 2 times since the movie came out.  It was okay, they left most of the key parts in but unless you read the book you’d probably be pretty lost at certain points.  I know it’s not really possible for them to turn that big of a book into a 2.5 hour movie so what can you do?  The final book comes out this week!  So excited but sad at the same time.  It is bittersweet and I feel stupid for saying that but  you get really attached to the characters once you get into the series.  I know it’s for kids but it’s really an amazing story so who cares how old you are, go use your imagination again.

Met Mandi[Butterfly] earlier this week!  It’s so fun meeting OD people.  🙂  I’d read her now and again before we met but not religiously.  Now I shall!  She lives in the area(kinda) so maybe I will have a new friend!

Anywho I am off to get ready and finish up packing, then I shall play with the Widgemon for a bit.  Will catch up with all on Thursday or Friday when I return.  Later taters!
