my life. it is fabulous.

The birdies are chirping a wee bit early today, not quite 4:30 AM yet.  I take comfort in their consistancy even though I’m sure many would find it annoying.  What is it that they chirp about?  Their dreams?  Their plans for the day?  How effing loud Uncle Stinky snores?  I am now pondering if these are the same birds that shit all over Matt’s car.  You’d think the boy had a target painted on it with the amount of crap that accumulates over a day.  Perhaps it is a certain shade of blue that makes the bird think "purge now" as it flies over.

My days "off" are over already!  *sighs*  I put in my two weeks at Blockbuster on Monday evening.  I am no longer able to give 100% so I think it is better to let someone who can give 100% of themselves take over my position.  I will miss my co-workers and the familiarity but I know this is the right thing to do.  I feel as though a great weight has been lifted off of me already.

Tammy and Derek will be here in 5 days!  I need to power clean the apartment as it is a disaster area, all I need is some yellow DANGER tape to put up around this place.  It’s really not that bad but I like to pretend sometimes.

Matt surprised me with a pair of PJ pants from Old Navy the other day.  🙂  I was meandering around the store and spied some cute white bottoms with little blue stars all over them.  I immediately wanted to snatch a pair up but knew that I really didn’t need another addition to my already massigve PJ collection.  I showed them to Matt a little later to tell him how I wanted them but that I was being good and went off to try on a pair of capris to make sure that this size 6 fit better than the previous size 6 that I was exchanging.  I came out of the dressing room and saw that he’d paid for the T-shirt he’d seen and liked.  I exchanged my pants and we left.  After I got home from work later that night I walked into the bedroom to change out of my uniform and found the jammies on the bed!  I was so surprised and excited!  I had no idea he’d gotten them for me and I am enjoying them right now.

I’ve been chatting with a tattoo artist that comes into Blockbuster pretty frequently.  I asked him a ballpark figure on getting a little ivy/tribal thing tattooed around my left arm and he told me an appropriate figure and said he could draw something up for me if I liked.  I am going in to see him for a touch-up one of these days that I am off and we can work something out then.  Danny is a nice guy and when I do stop by the shop I am thinking about bringing him some ice cream as he is an addict.  He is a good customer and those are pretty hard to come by.

Still no hair cut.  Monday Matt and I went to Fantastic Sams(I got a free hair cut coupon in the mail and shoot I’m not going to pass that up!) and they were effing closed at 4 in the afternoon!  Their temporary hours or something of the like.  Boo hiss to that!  I meant to get up and go today but I slept until 2:30 or so and had to be at work at 4:00.  I sound like such a lazy fuck saying that.

Am browsing at Overstock.com.  They have a knitting magazine subscription for $19.95 and am thinking about paying it and getting the mags for a year.  It’s only fair that I add to the paper hazard we have going on around here, lord knows that Matt has enough.  🙂  I was also looking at digital cameras and nothing quite caught my fancy.  I do want a really nice camera when I am in the market for another one, I think that I could make a better photographer if I had better equipment.  Wouldn’t we all?

We watched Failure to Launch tonight.  I was disappointed and I don’t need to say more than that.  It just wasn’t a great movie.  I also have The Hills Have Eyes and Syriana.  I am looking forward to Syriana!  Was thinking about getting UltraViolet but I figure it will just disappoint me the same way that Aeon Flux did.  Bleh.  Maybe I set my expectations too high.

We are doing X-Men 3 on Sunday if it KILLS me.  I don’t work until 6 and we should be able to squeeze it in before then so long as we don’t sleep all day.  I’m off on Saturday(unless I work some OT) and I will do our house cleaning then so my guests won’t be grossed out or something.  I am so happy they are visiting.  🙂

No plans for the 4th of July just yet but it’s getting closer!  One of my favorites!

I think it is now time to turn on the tube and watch some TV(Did I tell you guys that Matt got us cable for $20.00?) until bedtime.  Sweet dreams taters and I wish all of you a great Wednesday!
