Previous: a wee update and some pics.

I have deviated from the pattern on the purse that I am making… I hope that it turns out okay in the end. I was checking out the pattern again and looking at the picture and it’s a lot bigger than what I am wanting. So I will just kind of do my own thing and refer back to the pattern every now and again for tips and pointers. I am brave!

I start my new job tomorrow night! Eeee!

As of late I have been wanting to re-read the Harry Potter books over from Year One. Yeah, yeah…I’ve read them twice so far and some of them 2+ times; but I must know if Snape is good or not! I want him so badly to be good…I know he treats Harry and anyone associated with Harry like shit but I LOVE his character. I love Alan Rickman’s portrayal of him in the movies too. Have I ever mentioned that Professor Snape could tell me to do anything and I’d pretty much melt? I love Rickman’s voice. 😉 So if any of you are fans…where do you think Snape’s loyalty really lies? JK has done such an amazing job of keeping it up in the air the whole time that I am sure it’s going to shock the pants right off of me when it comes down to the end of it. When is book 7 going to be finished? I am looking forward to but also dreading that day…the idea of the series coming to an end is almost heartbreaking. Who knew I’d turn out to be such a fan?

I saw the cutest paisley bikini(I almost wrote binkini…that’ll amuse Matt) at oldnavy.com. I am debating on whether or not I should waste the money and get it. The cute plaid Espirit bikini I bought last year is too big for me(eff me for not freakin’ having boobies) and the elastic is eh in the bottoms already. So I am just torn up here. I don’t know how often I’ll get out and use the stupid thing but at the same time…it’s a paisely bikini! I should just buy it. We only live once, right? I think I will…maybe.

Tomorrow I think Matt and I are going to go to Olive Garden to celebrate my first night at work. 🙂 Mmm!

I’ll be in Arizona in about three weeks! I can’t believe how fast time is flying by. It will be so awesome to see the family again! I hope to see a few friends while I am out there as well-clear your schedules, kids! Okay, not really but it would be nice if some free time could be had together.

Tammy and Derek are going to be here in a little over a month! I am pretty excited about that, they will be the second set of house-guests for me! I wish Shaundra and Justin could come visit again soon…perhaps they will. Speaking of the little bugger; he will be turning 3 very soon! I need to think of something awesome to get him for his birthday and give it to him while I am in Kingman. He makes my heart melt!

I think that is about all from this peanut gallery. I know this is probably the most boring diary in existance but alas it is my life. Sweet dreams taters.

ah! i could never get into the Harry Potter books for some reason! and oh, how i wish i could. everyone who likes them REALLY likes them. i did like the new C.S. Lewis movie though. perhaps because i read those Narnia books when I was a child, and although i do not remember all the details, certain parts of the movie seemed very familiar.

I want Snape to be good too. He HAS to be… Dumbledore trusted him for SOME reason. Perhaps it’s all part of some elaborate plan. In my version of the last book all the dead people come back to life. Ah.. wishful thinking..

Good luck at the new job! As for Professor Snape, I have no idea. I never believed he was truly evil, and I just keep thinking that there must have already been a plan in place with Dumbledore (sp??) because it’s hard for me to believe that he went against him. I can’t wait until the new book…come out already!!!!!

you’ll have to post pics of your knitty endevour. I love seeing knitty pics. 🙂 I love Snape. Especially Alan Rickman’s Snape. He just nails the part completely. I like the suspense of not knowing if he’s good or evil, and I really don’t know which I want him to be, lol.

It IS a Binkini, since it’s for you. Buy it. I like Snape, too, but I don’t know if I can believe he’s good or not. But I DO recall in an early interview that someone asked Rowling and said he seems to have a redemptive character, and she said it was really great that they see that and insightful or SOME damn thing. I forget exactly what, but she couldn’t tell more. So! Snape. Redemptive

Oh, and you should go see MorpheanAmulet, she’s super cool and she’ll share your Snape/Rickman love to the moon and back (though right now she’s in more of a Jason Isaacs phase).

Oh, AND I heard something some time ago about shooting for 7 July 07 (Oh, teehee, 07/07/07 for the 7th book, lah dee dah), but I don’t know if that’s still the plan.

ryn: i will not dignify your note with a response…..or at least not a denial 🙂 And, my parents saw me the next day and were all caught up in my sister coming home (my big birthday surprise)…so i’m not too upset.

Snape is not evil.. I think that he did what he had to in order for the greater good which is to defeat Voldemort and protect Harry because remember he noticed that there were two broomsticks in the tower so he must have known that Harry was around!!!

ryn: i’m sure you’re plenty interesting…judging by your interests list you like dogs, music, sex, and hate the President…….see….there’s 4 things to talk about right there.

ryn: and, sometimes i only watch tv because i don’t want to be left out on what other people talk about……i didn’t even watch Idol last night…or for the last couple of weeks actually….i just keep up with it enough to know what’s going on. boobies suck. I dont have enough either. Get the bikini and splurge on yourself! its for celebration of getting the new job! GO FOR IT! I dont even use patterns yet with my knitting, but im only making a blanket. Hm.

I so need to read all of the HP books again. I feel like I’m losing touch. And thinking about the next book being the last really chokes me up… *sigh* *swallows lump in throat* Go for the bikini. Why not celebrate a new job with a new bathing suit!

RYN: I loved The New World; Adam and I saw it on our anniversary. People walked out 10 minutes into it. The trailers are not what the movie is about. It’s a very slow-paced, relaxing, beautiful movie… I just felt like I was operating on another plane while watching it. Seriously.

RYN: you don’t want to know… but just know this: it tastes good 🙂
