aw bummer

Naturally since I plan a dinner for Matt’s return home tonight his flight is delayed and on the ground…but like he says better than crashing.  🙂  All I ask is that he gets home in one piece, he can warm up the left overs when he gets here!  I made a new pumpkin pie earlier this afternoon as well since last night Mark, Diamond, Rich and I polished the other half of the first one off.  We’ll see how this one tastes.

As far as dinner goes I did a rosemary/garlic/mushroom chicken deal.  I smashed some red taters and added some chicken stock and sun dried tomato pesto sauce.  Wasn’t too bad but wasn’t great either.  I just give up on being a "house wife".  🙂  I guess the idea is that I tried and that’s really all that matters.  I suppose it beats him coming home to nothing or having to go out and get something to eat.  I’ll never be able to cook like his brothers wife and I often wonder if that’s what he’s holding out for.  *wink*

So until he gets home I am just channel surfing and pining for a hug and a kiss.  Widget’s snoozing on the back of the couch behind me, such a lazy kitty.

Did you hear that?  It was my ass snoring.  Better wake her up…this is what I get for sitting on the floor for so long.

Been a lazy weekend for me, did a lot of sleeping.  Not exactly thrilled to go back to work tomorrow night but at least Matty and I will be back on the same schedule again.  It’s my long week so major boo on that but it’ll go by quickly…I hope.  I started wrking on a new tool set at work and so far kind of bored with it I guess.  I dunno.

Have been bit by the shopping bug which is never a good thing!  I would like to stock up on some long sleeved shirts for winter though, they are far more wearable in the fab than a sweater is, I got teased about being a hunch back last week.  🙂

Hahahah Widget just rolled off the back of the couch!  *giggles*  I should go give him some love…

I really want some ice cream.  Thank goodness I have some in the freezer!  I’m off like a prom dress to get that ice cream and end this entry right about now.
