a while.
I think it has been aboot a week since my last update. Time flies when you are having fun. Or working a lot, whatever.
Well last Monday Matt had his four wisdom teeth removed. It wasn’t that big of an ordeal and turns out he didn’t really need me at all other than to force him to eat a little yogurt before he took his pain pills. So I’m back to square one…why did I move out here again?! 😉 Anywho, when we were at the surgeon’s office and he was coming out of the anesthesia I was dying. He kept going on and on about wanting a video of it because it would have been funny. And it was. He kept doing and saying the most random things. At one point he asks me for his cell phone and I give it to him and ask him if he’s going to text me because I can’t understand what he’s saying with a mouth stuffed full of gauze pads. He says yes and proceeds to open his cell phone and try to use the screen as a mirror to check out the lack of his teeth! I cracked up and laughed later on when he asked me where and when I gave him his cell phone as he did not remember. Classic good times.
We found out that his cousins, Wes and Kyler, and their mom were in D.C. for the day so we decided we’d drive out and see them since it is rare that the three of them ever get together. We had dinner at Uno Chicago(I think?) and then watched the season finale of 24(I was lost as I’ve never seen an episode before.) It was nice to see them again and get a chance to hang out for a bit. We got home and Matt popped in a vicodin and told me they were nothing special really and I’ve yet to try one for myself. We shall see. All in all I think he is hurting more now than before since his bottom ex-wisdom teeth are bothering him and not closing up like they should. Boo.
Work is going pretty good, I got certified this morning and now I can work OT so this means that I will be quitting Blockbuster soon. I am thinking I will put in my two weeks today. I am realizing how much I value my free time now that I am working these shifts and how on my days off I don’t want to be at another kind of "work" even if it’s not difficult. I don’t know. I guess I want to have a life or something. Sheesh, I sure do ask for a lot. But all in all, things at Micron are going well. I am having fun meeting new people and learning new things every day. Sometimes it is stressful but usually it really isn’t so bad, everyone is really nice and rarely ever seems to be in a bad mood. Always joking and laughing and that is what I like. All of the personalities seem to mesh just right and while I don’t think everybody entirely understands that I am rarely as serious as I sound I am fitting in just fine.
It’s such a beautiful day outside I feel like I should just stay awake all day and enjoy it. I sure don’t work today(AT ALL) and am thinking of going and getting a pedicure later. And a hair cut, I need a trim already(effing layers). Matty is working tonight so he’s in bed already and I’m probably going to head there in a few. It just seems sad to waste such a nice day snoozing. I guess we all need our ZZZ’s. I’ve been thinking about getting one of those eye masks in hopes that it might help me sleep easier during the day time. The light really doesn’t bother me but maybe it does and I’m not aware of it. We shall have to see!
I bought the first five Harry Potter books from overstock.com the other day. $25.00! They are paperbacks but whatev at least I will have the books at my disposal! I can’t wait until they get here so I can start reading them all over again. I’m addicted…so what?
Uh… Well I guess it is bedtime. I’m going to throw in a few pictures via my camera phone before I head to bed. Poet and didn’t know it!
This was taken the day we went to Chesapeake Bay. We were at Baja Fresh. He looks thrilled.
A blurry picture of us.
I was showing Tammy how retarded I look in a bandana. That giant mountain of flesh off to the right is my leg. They are not as long as they appear.
He’s so super! I love my new sunglasses and so does he.
I guess my little phone doesn’t take too bad of pictures after all.
Okay, I’m going to bed now. Sweet dreams kids.
sweet dreams

One of the side effects of anesthesia is short-term memory loss. I had my wisdom teeth out at age 18; my dad was driving me home from the doctor’s office and during the 20 minute drive home, I’d asked him the same question 3 times. He just laughed at me. Glad all is well! 🙂 -(PS – note diary name change! ;-))

Certified for OT! Whoo! Now is that time and a half? I certainly hope so! You’ll be rollin’ in the dough! When I had my teeth removed I was awake during the entire procedure. Talk about gross. You get blood all over your face. Oh, and my breath wreaked of blood for days afterwards. Thank God I had them out on a Friday afternoon and took the following Monday off. I’m sure my co-workers thank me!
