I suppose I can’t stop this stuff now since I am more than half-way through it. Sheeeeeeeet.

Today was a fun filled day of looking around for an entertainment center and a desk for Matt.  *insert sarcasm*  UGH.  I hate picking this stuff out, you guys.  I suck at decorating and making things matchy-matchy.  I am hoping that once this place is finished it doesn’t look TOO bad.  I’d love to have my sister come out and help me since she is naturally inclined to know how to decorate but her style isn’t exactly the same as mine.  *sighs*

Anyway, we went to Ikea after driving to a house in Stafford to check out an entertainment center that was posted on craigslist.  It was nice BUT we would have had a hell of a time getting it back here to our house because of the sheer size of it.  But at Ikea we found a nice entertainment center that is black/brown and goes okay with the coffee and end tables.  I’m trying to figure out what to do about a small area rug in here, there’s one at walmart.com that Matt and I both like that has blue, sage, brown, black and beige in it so it’ll tie a lot of stuff in together.  I’m not sure what it actually looks like though since it is online only.  Online shopping is both a blessing and a curse, I hate not being able to physically LOOK at something first sometimes.  We’d actually gone into Bed Bath and Beyond today to see if they had a bakers rack but it was only online also.  Meh.

So the entertainment center is up and our lovely 37" LG flat screen is back up here in the living room.  ðŸ™‚  It is quite nice, I do like it a lot.  Yeah, yeah, I know I need to toss in some pictures.  ðŸ˜€  Someday, I promise.

Deric came by today, said there was a mix-up with our counter tops.  I guess when they were manufactured they were made with a different top than what we’d picked out.  SO still no counter or kitchen sink.    He mentioned working something out that if we liked what they made up for us we could get it at a discount OR they could just make up the counters with the stuff we’d originally picked out and wait a little longer.  Neither Matt nor I were that particularly picky about the counter tops and he brought by a sample of the stuff that it was made with and we like it just fine.  Waiting to hear back from Deric for sure about what we’ll be doing.  At this point I don’t really give a crap, I just want a kitchen sink already!

I took tomorrow off from work and I am SO glad that I did.  Granted I am feeling a little guilty about it already(even though I shouldn’t be).  I’ll deal, though.  ðŸ™‚

Alright I’m going to go get myself ready for bed.  Later taters.

RYN: It’s especially frustrating, given the career path he’s pursuing – family and relationship counseling. I always feel like I never really get to fight with him, because he goes into therapist-mode. And really, sometimes you need to fight.
