6/7/06

 My replacement has been hired – a young hometown kid with only two year’s experience. Good luck. As for me, my last day is June 26, when I will hand in my keys and walk away. Two year’s experience – who is going to change his diapers, especially when he shits a brick right before marching contest? I am so happy to be leaving this school district! 
 
It’s 10:36 PM, so apparently my nephew isn’t going to be born on 6-6-06, but if he has his mother’s temper, he will still turn out to be a little devil! 
 
The house went on the market Saturday, and tomorrow the open house for realtors on the Multiple Listing Service will be held at 9:00 AM. We stand to make a tidy profit off the sale, which shouldn’t take too long, considering we live on one of the most desirable streets in town. Our street doesn’t have exorbitantly expensive homes, but the entire area is well kept and convenient to city offices, schools, etc. I will miss this house, but such is life. J is freaking out over the process, and keeping her calm is proving taxing, but I have Bailey’s and OD to help me cope tonight. I haven’t been able to cook much lately, as most of my equipment has been packed into our storage unit in order to better “stage the house.” The rule of thumb is to get most of your shit out of the house; so potential buyers can imagine their shit in its place. Oh shit!
