Holidays

I really suck at updating this. I log in almost daily and check my fav’s entries, but rarely write. Hmm lol

Things are going really well, super busy. I started my new job at a major telecommunications company back in September as a field service technician. So far so good, I wish I was getting paid a little more, since I took a good pay cut when I separated from the Navy, but more pay will come in time. I enjoy the work so far, and I’m learning more everyday. It’s nice to have a regular job now and not have to worry about all the BS that comes with being in the military. I like focusing on just work, instead work, and PRT’s, and maintenance inspections, and deployments, and etc..

Things are going well at the house too. Crazy that I’ve owned my own home for almost a year lol. This is the first real Christmas tree that I’ve had since I was like 10 or 11 I think. When we moved when I was in third grade, we moved into an apartment that was too small to have a tree, so we just had a little tabletop tree. Then we moved again, but my Dad was already hurt and not walking really, so we just got an artificial tree. This is the first year in probably ten years that I’ve had a Christmas tree of any kind. It feels good. We don’t have the money this year to decorate the outside of the house this year, but we’re going to do it next year. My dog, Steeler, is getting huge too. He’s only 9 months old, but he’s already over 50 lbs. Both parents were purebreds (Mom was a purebred Siberian Husky, Dad a purebred American Boxer), and they happened to be next door neighbors, and yeah. There were puppies lol.

Speaking of my Steelers, ugh. This season has been painful to watch. I’ve never had to watch my team start 0-4 before, and even though they aren’t mathematically eliminated from the playoffs yet, a LOT of help would need to happen. Miami, New York, and Baltimore need to lose out, and the Chargers have to either lose out or split their remaining two games, as well as Pittsburgh winning out. Fingers crossed, but we’ll see. It all starts in Green Bay today.

I’m gonna wrap though and grab some breakfast, I’m starving lol.

Merry Christmas everyone! GO Steelers!!
